people park or stop on roads sides for a number of reasons. they could stop there if they are having car problems or want to use cell phones safely. mostly they park there because of car trouble.

because you cant bury a prostitute in your backyard, the family will start to wonder what that funny smell is

Hopefully most of the time they only park on the road side because of car trouble, but I know that is not always The case. Some are using cell phones which I feel is safer parked on the side then using it while driving, other times they are using the bathroom ( usually it is a child, but I have seen grown men too). In our state they have closed almost all the roadside parks so there isn't any where to stop unless you get off the interstate and go into some town.
