Why do people pick on the poor?

i think rich people sould have to pay a luxury tax..cause people say the poor sould get drug tested come on now thats stupid...people on welfare are on it cause there having trouble and maybe u sould lisn to people stories before u judge people..

Because it sets the wealthy at the top of the hierarchy.

It gives the wealthy someone to look down upon,....thereby making the wealthy feel important/powerful I suppose.

If they've never been poor themselves, I suppose they don't really understand financial hardship & all it entails, so maybe it's easier for the wealthy to lump the poor all into one misbegotten category unfortunately.

It take all kinds of people to make the world go around, and that includes the ignorant ones to. You have to excuse them because they know not what they're doing or saying. Poor can be defined in many ways and it depends on how each individual see their situation. The people that get picked on, are the ones who allow other ignorant people to still their joy. For someone to pick on another person whether you're poor or not, speaks volumes about that person's character.

I know what you mean.  People are ignorant now a days and have no idea what they are talking about.  

They like to talk c**p on the poor or those on welfare, but they are even lower of a human being than the ones they are talking bad about

The ignorant rich choose to believe that the poor are poor because of their own actions and foolishness, when more often than not, it is clearly not the case.
