Why do people picture cows in tornados and goats on airplains/busses?

Well I was just under a tornado warning so I thought of this.

I have always wondered this.Why do people picture cows in tornadoes? Why do people picture goats on airplanes/buses?

  1. Cows and tornado's are from "Twister", and I don't think I have ever pictured or heard about goats on an airplane/bus.


  2. I guess people would picture cows with tornadoes because tornadoes usually happen in places like Kansas or Tennessee, where there are many farms. Cows live on farms obviously, so people just associate cows with tornadoes. Like said before, the movie Twister also popularized this view.

    As for goats on airplanes and buses, I've never heard of that before.

  3. Well, in case of a tornado emergency, a farmer is more likely to take his family and himself into safety, rather than the cows.

    So I guess people think that the tornado cold lift them?

    It could be though.

    I've read about them sucking trees off the ground and such.

  5. Cow & tornado were made famous by the movie "Twister" a movie about tornadoes... (That part always makes me laugh with the cow flying by the camera.... )

    Goat on airplane bus?   No idea...
