Why do people play their music so loud in their cars (for the whole world to hear)?

To me it shows a caveman mentality. It is unsafe and just plain rude.

i like loud music just because i really like to feel it. i'd prefer nobody else could hear it because i dont want to draw attention to myself but when i like a song i turn it up because thats how i enjoy it.

Well, let me put this way I'm deaf and I do have the right to put very loud music in my car and you are not deaf ; so tell me do you enjoy very soft music? I can't hear it.

So , that is my business and not yours.

They think that blasting off their music makes them seem cool and gets everyone's attention, but i think it's really stupid and when they become 35 their hearing is gonna be like an 80 year old's hearing lol. plus when their music distracts everyone there will be more traffic accidenst by not paying attention.

With my husband, he drives with his music so loud because he doesn't like the sound of his own voice when he's singing. Lol. I listen to loud music if it's my favorite kind of music, because I love the base to a song.
