Question:

Why do people prefer Rodgers?

People are feeling sorry for Rodgers. Why? Because he beat out Brian Brohm in camp, so he is the starter? This man has shown to be injury prone and can't possibly even compare to Favre. Besides the man is getting paid to sit boo hoo

  1. cuz coming out of college he was supposed to be pretty good in the nfl but because of brett favre he hasnt been able to play

  2. It's because he was GUARUNTEED the starting job!!! He handled the situation very well and does not deserve to lose his spot to some drama queen who cries and whines until he gets his way (a.k.a. Brett Favre).

Also Aaron Rodgers didn't whine his way into his spot.

  3. Hmm? I thought it was like, Favre didn't want to stay retire, Pack decided to move ahead with Rodgers and are trying to ship Favre off to the Vikes.

  4. Preferring Rodgers and feeling sorry for Rodgers are 2 completely different things.

ETA:  Not me.  Here's my opinion on it, if you want it.  I posted this question when the whole Brett saga started.

  5. They're sorry for him because he's been the monkey in the middle in the whole Favre situation. Packers management told Favre that Rodgers was their starter, and now that Favre has come back, Rodgers could lose his starting job. If I were Rodgers, I'd ask for a trade, because no pro player should have to go through that.

  6. Because his chance to play keeps getting taken away.

  7. All these people don't:

I prefer whoever will give the Packers a better shot for a ring.  So I'll go with Favre.

  8. it's not a matter if people preferring him. The Point is Favre RETIRED. I will say it one more time, FAVRE RETIRED... and decided to come back a week before training camp to simply take his job back. What is so hard about you seeing how messed up that is.

I would assume that if you were promoted a position at work and some dude came in and took it away from you, you wouldn't be pissed off right? Because nobody is guaranteed a spot...Right?

How he approched this situation wasn't ethical at all and you can't convince me any other way.

  9. I do not know that most general fans of the NFL prefer Rodgers.  The pivot point for me is that he is acting like a professional.  My Favre question is what was he thinking when he jumped out with the retirement conference.   What was his agent thinking?   Favre had several weeks to just remain in a "I am considering my future" posture. I think the all out retirement announcement was not typical of the right way to handle an important problem to the team and to him.   Frankly, I am surprised that Favre acted without a more complete consideration of all the facts and people who would be impacted by his decision.

  10. The problem that Green Bay is faced with is Rodgers is a free agent after the year, and if he doesn’t get to play then the Packers are going to lose him.

I would definitely put Favre in as my starter, but if Green Bay does that then they are going to be faced with no QB soon, and Aaron Rodgers is too good a QB to let go.

  11. We prefer him 'cause he gives the packers the best chance to loose
