  1. while i do agree with you in this instance i beg to differ... while some songs are literal others are euphemisms.  i truly believe katy perry is a L*****n, if not bisexual, or likes to "explore" women at best ... my gaydar went off as soon as i saw her.

  2. You are thinking too deeply about the song. It usually only influences people who think that way as well. We each have our own thoughts on these matters. I won't think about kissing a guy if I listen to a g*y song. I'll just never listen to it again cause it's g*y.

  3. lol hello i love those songs(:

  4. Because they're ridiculous and stupid.  It's the way people are, always have been, overthinking things and taking them all too literally.

  5. What do your say is what do you mean? So people bent the point. making it kinda implicit. for commercial issue. I found the song "so-so"

  6. becausee they dont like it and want to make fun of people who do.... theres this song called pretty fly for a white a guy...and someone called me rasist cause its supposidly prejedice agaist white people....and i was like wtf?!?!?and im white too

  7. They have too much time on their hands.  Like us Yahoo! Answers people.

  8. Some people don't like what the song stands for or the messages being potrayed. Music is a powerful medium and is still a strong weapon to convey political and other messages.

A song isn't just about the music, it is much deeper, the lyrics play a massive role, in the early 1700s, you could get hung if you composed the wrong music, it was a sin. So yes, just because you listen to "I kissed a girl" it does not mean you are a L*****n, but some people may not like the messages being conveyed or what the song stands for.

  9. good question

    i totally agree with you

some songs do have deep meaning and are meant to be taken literelly

but some are purely fun songs, made up  on the spur of the moment coz the words came to the artists head

i guess the worlds getting pretty serious these days and not much can be taken lightly anymore..

  10. omg i know i had the kate perry i kissed a girl song on my myspace and everyone attacked my saying eww your a L*****n

just because i liked the song it had no meaning whats so ever to me!!\

  11. I dont like either song...It's just that I dont like hearing little girls singing her song and they dont even truley understand.  These adults need to be careful about what they let their kids listen to...and i f*ck with usher and all, but I didn't even know that was his song for a loooong time...I just dont like the style

    I dont think ur a l***o tho

  12. People are waaaay too judgmental these days.

Like your example with the "I Kissed a Girl."

Just cause you like it doesn't mean you are L*****n.

I AM NOT SAYING THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH BEING A L*****n.

I'm just saying how people really need to slow down on the judging.

A better example of people being judgmental, that doesn't refer to songs, would be well pretty much any stereotype.

These days people need to STOP being judgmental and STOP being racist, and should be more open to others thoughts and opinions, not assuming things right at first word.
