Question:

Why do people "ignore" other people here?

Is it because you can't stand being proven wrong?

Are your convictions that weak that you would silence all differing opinions rather than conduct a debate?

Don't have the brain power to support your position?

"I don't like his answer; I'll put him on ignore because I can't compete with his arguments."

Really, is there a good reason to ignore someone, other than you admit defeat to him?

  1. i was blocked by someone because he asked a question about what liberals believe and i stated that they think it's the government's responsibility to improve the life of all it's citizens...here is the message i received:

    From: David Bandel

    Subject: wrong

Message: liberals are people who believe it is ok for a government to FORCE those who work hard to provide for those who don't want to work at all.

you are blocked and systematically rated negatively everytime i see you answer or pose a question.

this is over don't reply and tell me why you don't understand what i'm telling you. i'm right and you're wrong.

....hahaha, what a chump. i'm not even liberal, i was just giving the a definition of liberal mindset because i want to understand all sides of the spectrum

p.s. nice edit about "i hate knee"

  2. because there g*y

  3. It is for those who block me

  4. If you ask people a question that they know the answer to, but do not want to admit it, they simply say nothing. It's the same reaction in cyberspace.

  5. i agree.this is the politics section.if you have a thin skin and are here for points your in the wrong category.you should completely ignore that ignore button.

  6. The only people I put on ignore are people who put me on ignore. This is because in the past I have had people put me on ignore then start reporting all my questions and answers. So call it a self defense mechanism. I do not fear the opinions of anyone and am willing to debate on issue that interests me. I don't even give "thumbs down" to answers I don't like because I hate the way it collapses the answer. Right now I think there may be 3 names on my ignore list.

  7. yes. you are perfectly right. in most cases, if you are referring to politicians.

americans are insecure beings. they don't like to admit they've been proven wrong, and they don't want other people to know they are insecure.

there is no good reason to ignore anyone, no matter the circumstances.

  8. I think this is a somewhat leading question... plus i don't really understand it!?

  9. I have no clue what your talking about.

I suppose you mean Yahoo! Answers. But you are also in the government and politics section, so are you talking about the USA?

If you're talking about Yahoo! Answers then probably it's because your questions may be annoying or uninteresting.

But if you're talking about the government, well... I got no answer there buddy.

  10. Because...

    OBAMA '08

is not an answer and I get sick of people who think that it is the answer to everything.

  11. Its gets very annoying trying to prove somebody wrong even though you keep being right and they can be wrong.

Its because that person keep marking the other as wrong and it gets very annoying to even deal with even with simple equations.

When you believe your right and others says its wrong and the same thing goes over and over again its gets irritating to even prove if either the person is right or wrong unless you both work together.

But you cant admit defeat unless the other gives up or try to find another way to prove him right or wrong.

In reality the debate wont be over unless the other either gives up or try to prove him right or wrong so the debate will keep going over and over again.
