Why do people "report" questions/answers they don't like?

Not to be specific, but a question just got deleted that was very polite and not rude in any way. Seriously shouldn't only spam or hate/violence be censored? Not something you don't want to hear?

I hope this question gets deleted.

Anything else, even an accurate, truthful, or contradicting answer is not acceptable.

I know what you mean, I posted a question a few days ago and told Christians that even though I do not believe in God, that I have nothing but the deepest respect for those that do and the question was deleted... I can't understand that either.

From my own expericences here, it seems to be, often, a case of the reporter having a dislike for the reported.  It has little to do with the question or the answer itself.

Like you said, I guess they don't like them.  However, just because a question was removed that wasn't rude, doesn't mean it didn't violate the community guidelines and shouldn't have been reported.  One shouldn't assume it was removed because someone just didn't like it.
