Why do people roughly think that an average or below looking woman in fabulous clothes & long hair

is pretty and beautiful? obviously she is not pretty but average or more likely ugly than pretty. why is it? (did anyone understand my Q?)

yeah, i get what you mean, like miley cyrus, not pretty at all, but just because she wears nice colthes and has long curly, perfect hair people think shes gorgeous, ickkkk.

Sometimes it is more than just the face. Some people look at the whole body. If they have a nice physique, a good sense of style, a good personality then they may be considered beautiful. Confidence is another large factor. Other times people just have a difference idea of beauty. There are several celebrity women that are considered gorgeous that I think look like they have the bone structure of a man. Hope that answers your question. Even though sometimes I ask that same question.

Because she has put forward an effort to try and look pretty..and when she tries she lets off confidence.

listen doll..I'm not pretty at all..my looks are below average. But when I put forward an effort to try and look pretty..I feel better about myself and thus exude a bit more confidence.

Yeah, ugly girls are given complements for picking out nice clothes and knowing how to put on make up. So what?

you don't have to drop dead gorgeous all the time to get some attention. At least they put forth the effort. Some girls are still pretty when wearing sweatpants and wife beater, but they still look trashy...

It's probably an impression they get over fast. More like they think she takes an interest in how she looks. I have 2 cousins; one is gorgeous, but not into her looks. The other is sort of cute, but goes all out. The cute one gets way more compliments, because it seems like she's looking for them I think. Also when she dresses in skimpy clothes she gets tons of attention and I think it's because she is sending out a hit on me vibe.

I think you are a shallow person! But other than that...I think that if you are not a 10 then people arent going to think you are just because of the clothes that you wear..the clothes dont make the face or the attitude!

Pretty is OK, but interesting is better.

A woman who who dresses with flair, has grace and charm, is interesting, witty, kind and generous is always more attractive than someone who is simply pretty.

It's a bit like comparing a photograph to the real thing.

Sometimes an average looking woman can wear ordinary clothes and have short hair, and men still admire her looks!
