Why do people say BMW are expensive?

like the 02-04 3 series are not really that expensive..and they look really nice and up-todate even now.

and those 03 bmw 7 series look about the same as the new ones.. and they are like around 20G for a used one.

for 20k you can buy a small 2008 car and your asking if a 7 or 8 year old car that costs the same amount is expensive?

try to buy any replacement part or get an oil change and see what the cost is.

Buying a BMW is the cheapest part. A BMW is the most expensive car, in the world, to maintain. The parts, even the batteries, have to be imported from Europe. The computer cries "Time for service" every time you turn around. If you don't take it to BMW for the service you'll void the warranty. They have you by the ying yang and charge you ridiculous rates compared to other companies. Plus they aren't the most reliable car around which adds to the cost of upkeep. Buying one isn't hard. Maintaining it will keep you broke.
