  2. I think people who say cuss instead of curse also say goldarn it instead of God dammit. (They might even say, Oh, fudge!)

Cuss is a colloquialism. As a verb, it means curse. As a noun, it means 1) a curse; 2) a person or creature (usually derog.). Cuss-word is a US term for swear-word or curse.

  3. idk. i haven't really thought about it

i guess to me "cuss" refers to a swear word, while "curse" sounds more like a threat.

  4. don't know, its just an abbreviation like others...

  5. I do not f***ing know

  6. It is just a slang or casual word for cuss.

  7. You will find more religious people say cuss because curse is well....duh a curse.

  8. "Curse" is generally like the word curse. If you curse at someone, it (sort of) means that you want give them a curse. You probably don't, but that's what the word means.

"Cuss" is simply a verb meaning "to say a swear word."

  9. cuss and curse mean the same thing.-blurey

  10. A curse would be, "d**n you to h**l."  Cussing would be. "Oh Sh-t!"

A curse is asking a higher power to do something bad to you.  To cuss is to spit out bad words as an exclamation.
