    It is to be consumed by baby mammals, not full grown mammals.

    Dairy that has fat has fat; and much dairly does, though not all. On the other hand, people need SOME fat; and dairy has a lot of other things we need, as well.

    Many people are lactose intollerant, which is to say their digestive tracts can't handle most dairy.

    Kosher Jews don't let dairy and meat be in the same meal; and even have seperate cooking ustensils to use when making meat dishes and dairy dishes; they have to keep them in seperate drawers so they never touch.

    You'd have to ask the specific people who said this to know what, exactly, they had in mind.

    As a blanket statement, it's false.

  7. Lowfat dairy is quite healthy actually. Regular consumption (dietary calcium) has even been found to help pass more fat through your system so less gets absorbed by the body.

    Full fat dairy can be unhealthy (whole milk, full fat cheeses, flavored yogurts high in sugar, etc).
