Why do people say my dog's ugly?

They're probably only saying it because they know it bugs you.  That being said, a trip to the groomer wouldn't hurt.  But do it because you want to and because your dog will feel better for it.  Not because of what some people say to get under your skin.

its because certain people have this vendetta against small dogs...i swear some people just do not like them.... dont worry about what other people say, your dog is cute

Personally I think bulldogs are ugly. Everyone has their own opinion - I'm sure there are people that think my German Shepherd is hideous.

Some people don't like the long fur I think, people always used to throw a fit over Frodo and Pickle my smooth haired mini daschunds, (I didn't have Charlie and Samantha yet!) but yet some people when they saw Lola's (RIP Lola) long hair they sort of went "ugh" they're just rude, I'd always tell them "If you don't like Lola's fur, since she's my baby and child you should probably just leave us alone". What do you know? It worked!

I can't tell from the pic, but who cares what other people say?! He's your sweet dog and if you love him and think he is handsome, thats all that matters. Maybe they are just jealous?

Your dog is not ugly it is very cute! Why worry about what other people think anyway we all have different taste!  Some like big dogs, short haired dogs, fluffy ones..no worries your dog is cute!

IF "people" don't say your dog is ugly, u won't hv a question to ask here. BUT if ppl say yr dog is NOT ugly, u will want to ask WHY.

The bottom line is, as the above answers, who cares? As long as YOU think he/it/she is NOT ugly.

I know. Its frustrating and infuriating to hear someone say that, but if you love your dog, thats all that matters.

I have a toy poodle, who, by my standards, is the most beautiful creature ever put on this green earth. Other people disagree. I've even had comments on why I would pay money for such a hideous dog.

I love my dog.

I don't think he's ugly, I think he's adorable.  Maybe they're just jealous, mean types of people.  Pay no attention to those people.  You love him, he loves you, that's all that matters really.
