I want to know some thoughts from people out there, because a lot of people say graveyards and cemeteries are a place to conduct a research investigation? We've been to many but never could understand the significance for why they were there i mean couldn't they be better off at an actual home, historical place, or business they originally resided in But also, if ghosts are already dead why would they want hang around there bodies wouldn't they go somewhere else to hang around in the world (like what i just said) besides a cemetery and be there 24/7 around there body? There are many answers to this i have found what's your's? * Thoughts please* :)

  1. well...im no expert, but, maybe they like to stay around the grave because what if relatives or spouses are in that graveyard? or what if the ghost isnt from THAT graveyard and is just visiting?  it sounds stupid, but i guess ghosts have minds just like us.  hey, i would visit too!

uh, hope that helps? prolly doesnt

  2. They will be WhereEver you Believe they will be.

  3. well i am a ghost fan so ya. usually the ghosts are there because before they died something tragic happend like they were murdered but there body was still buried at a cemetary or they did suicide

  4. I live opposite a Graveyard and I've never seen a ghost or anything similar. However once on a cold dark wintery night I had someone who sounded like they were chipping at stone...so I climbed he wall and found a man with a hammer and chisel.

Hey Mate wat yer doing I said and he repiled "They spelt my name wrong!"

  5. Cuz thats where dead ppl r and ghosts r believed to be souls from the dead that never made it to h**l or heaven

  6. i have no clue

  7. It is very hard for some spirits to leave there body after all they are scared as well if they happened to of died suddenly and don't know what to do . the spirit lives on . and the only way to sometimes communicate with the living has been taking away from them , and yes they can leave any time they just choose to stay where they are comfortable. weird yes but some spirits do need guidance

  8. Well if it's true that people hang out at the place where they died...maybe that's why so many people want to die at home. This is something to think about. I sure hope we don't get stuck wherever we die. I 've wondered about the ghosts in prisons etc..Why in the world would they stay in prison after they die??That would be about the same as staying at the cemetery. Just think...some day we'll all be ghosts...or not. Guess we'll find out then.

  9. Well one theory is that cemetaries are built on holy ground and they are doorways to the other side. Some believe they are built on Ley lines but am not sure if this would cause a portal to open.

The thoery is that the cemetaries are like a bus station and spirits travel from our realm to theirs using this bus station.

  10. Idk probably because they seem like eerie places at night. It used to be thought that ghosts walked graveyards to scare off those who may disturb them in their eternal sleep.

  11. Cemeteries and graveyards inspire the imagination.

  12. I have checked out several cemetary stories, and i got absolutely no evidence no audio,no video,no pictures (well except a water orb).I started thinking how many people have you ever heard of dying in a cemetary. Its a thought the spirit is supposed to leave the body at the time of death, people don't die in cemetaries they are put there way after death.

  13. Because clairvoyants have seen them there, EVP recordings have been received there, There are numerous accounts of temperature changes, and magnetometer readings.

Another good place to ghost hunt are in old hospitals, prisons, houses where there have been murders or suicides, etc.

  14. Probably because its your final resting place Lol I don't really know for sure.

  15. These are wonderful spots to do an investigation. The older parts of the cemeteries seem to be the most active our Paranormal group has found.  There are so many reasons why these are good spots.  I just know they are.   Our group investigates places like this and have gotten clear messages from them that they do not like investigations to done there.  Others are cool with it and we get along of things.  We investigate many cemeteries at the request of the owners as they have seen things get scared.  There alto of Shadow People who hang out alto in graveyards.  With the Shadow People we just find a nice place to sit down and watch them.  They will not hurt you.

Honestly I wish I could give you a direct concrete answer for you.  I don't understand it and maybe we just aren't to know.  Sometimes we just have to know that there are so many things we may not be ready to know yet.  I do know that Our Group does have success in these places and I can't tell you why.  We investigate homes, businesses and libraries and old Mills.  We just do what we can to try and help others.

Good luck as I would like to know too!!

  16. You've asked some very good questions. Why, indeed, would a departed spirit want to hang out in a cemetary next to their decomposing body? Perhaps the answer is because the beings congregating near places of death are not actual humans, but demons instead. It is well-known in evangelical christian circles, especially in the area of experiential theology, that demons are immensely attracted to death, rot, and destruction by their very natures, and particularly drawn to desicrate places of bloodshed since it was the shed blood of Christ that defeated them on the cross.

I suppose one can go even further, and ask the question if the dead actually do return at all, then why aren't we drowning in a bottomless ocean of ghosts?

    Tell me what you think.

  17. Because people are just dying to get in there...Sorry bad joke.

  18. There are many answer most of them involve the words "made up" and " no such thing as"...

  19. As with most questions you ask there are numerous theories. However, this particular question calls for reading people's minds (why do some people say....) and if your not one of those people then you can't say (with any accuracy) why they say this.

    Here are some theories:

    1. Ghosts show up at this location when relatives are

visiting and mourning in order to comfort them

    2.   Dark, quiet, creepy places can make some people

          prone to imagining things.

    3.   The cemetery itself was the sight of a violent or other

emotionally intense setting (battle) that recorded these

events into the atmosphere and they replay, people

tuned to the right frequency see/hear/experience it.

    4.   The collective emotions of the grieving create semi-life

like energy forms (Tulpas or thought forms) that take

           on there own existence.

    5.   People associate both cemeteries and ghosts with

death and there is a natural tendency to link the two

          together in the mind.

    6.   The numerous Urban Legends (Resurrection Mary)

that have been told about cemeteries.

  20. I just think that it's because that's where people go when they die so that's where their spirits escape from them.

  21. well ryan, they like to hang out there (or so i hear) because they usually died there. i don't think that they can release from their bodies or where they died. but, many ghosts live in other places such as in houses and resturants and bars...etc. but that's probably because they died in that certain place. so i don't know that ghosts ALWAYS or mostly hang out around cemeteries or graveyards but hopefully the not so clear, reasoning should help you on more paranormal investigations. :)

  22. Personally I don't think it's a coincidence that places which seem like they should be haunted (i.e. insane asylums, old houses, cemeteries, crime scenes, etc.) usually are claimed to be haunted.  A bit suggestive and self-fulfilling if you as me.

  23. I think people have just always believed that spirits or ghosts can be seen in graveyards because they are believed to be scary places and have been for many years, obviously because people are buried in them! I don't believe that all spirits/ghosts hang out in graveyards, I believe that perhaps, some, of them might be there and others might be elsewhere, for example, where they used to live or with loved ones. I think it is just the atmosphere in graveyards that creates a spooky illusion, but it is also possible that there are spirits present. Everyone has their own opinion on this anyway, but it would be interesting if one day we could find out what is really happening in the parallel universe that so many of us cannot see :)

  24. Exactly, if you're this thing that can go through anything, why not go check out the universe? Or see what's REALLY going on inside the Pentagon? Or take that trip to France that you never got to have in your life?

  25. They've got alot of company there.

  26. you make a good point -good question. i only say that because i do not believe in ghosts. Or should i say -there are no such things. And your question is going right into my argument as to why I am still correct. Thanks
