Why do people say that money is green, when it really isn't color green?

  2. I know that in some countries money is shades of red, blue, sometimes even purple or orange, but in my country, it's all a shade of green. I don't know why they say that in your country if it's not green there.

  12. I thought the American Dollar is green, hence the nickname 'greenback'. Our notes are blue, green, brownish yellow and a purple.
