  1. what can I say, when you are right, you are right...

  2. The definition of "being white " was coined by white racist of the 18 and 19 th century. It implies the notion of "purity of the white race" . You can have in your all white ancestry , one black one (or any other non-white) and it automaticaly makes you black. The white cannot be spoiled , tainted by any other race .

Just imagine if the Africans came up with a similar theory for the black race, where would we put Obama and the millions of people like him ?

The incredible part in this is that the "white " definition is widely accepted as gospel by everyone , including by  the black people .

There is the third way , one can be mixed. Things don't have to be black or white they can be grey .

In fact this whole colour question is just bull . The colour of one's skin should have (as said Bob Marley ) as much importance as the colour of his eyes.

  3. Obama says Obama's African American. He never refers to himself as biracial.

  4. No, it's those stupid 13 year old kids who call him 'african american' or 'black'

the rest of us have respect for him & his race

  5. who cares? he's still got colour in him. If someone has a little bit of mexican in them aren't they still considered hispanic? It really shouldn't p**s you off that much cuz it's not a big deal, seriously, chill out......

  6. Because people are ignorant to the fact that every dark person isn't African American.

  7. Who cares, he has no experience that prepares him to lead out country. He makes ludicrous "promises" that he can never fulfill, and he needs to shut his uneducated wife up to make her stop playing the race card. The woman actually had the audacity to say that this is the first time she has ever been proud of her country...

  8. People who are a quarter of any race can claim that race as the race that they are. So since he is twice as much as the minimum requirement, then if he says he is African-American then it is true.

  9. you just said yourself hes half black...

  10. I was just thinking about that. He is half black and half white. But he leans more on the black side just like all half black half whites usually do, unless they are born with complete white features. I Agree he is just as much white as he is black. arrgh he's white,   um... hes black

Im confused what do you call half blacks half whites?

they have names for half whites half indians in south america called the mestizo i think

  11. Well I thought he was an African-American, and when he is elected he will be known as the first African-American to be president of the United States. But if he is two races then well they might change that but, I think they will keep it as the first African-American to be president. And you should spell check the next time you ask a question, that way it makes it a lot easier for us to answer your questions, o.k.

  12. He is african american! That's what all the hub-bub is about!! The first african amerecan president!!!!

  13. I agree with you, but I have heard him speak of "identifying" as an African American. It is unfortunate that, in this society, bi-racial people are often pressured to pick one race or the other. Also, in society, people often make the assumption that people who are not white (and look fully so) are of color, and in Obama's case this would lead to him being identified as Black. It is his choice, though, to be identified as an African American and therefore I don't see the problem in refering to him as such.

  14. Does this in anyway determine how he would run the country?  stick to the real issues

  15. He isn't African American, he wasn't born in africa, from what I heard. He's "black" because he's not as "white" as "white" people are.

Obviously, he isn't Latino, Latinos have their own dark-tan skin, and Indians (native Americans) do too, so when we can't tell the difference in the skin colour, the people are immediately put into mental categories.

    (i.e.):

    White, Mexican, and Black.

And by the way, several years ago, if you were 1/16% black, if you had anyone in your family that was black, you were considered black, no matter if you were whiter than a bleached sheet. And yes, I guess that was racism, but I'm not about to start calling people "Half white/half black"  or "brown".

Oh, and he needs to shut his wife up. She's acting like she's already the first lady.

  16. People dont know this about Obama, his dad is Kenyan BUT his mothers side of the family ascend from Britain and so does McCain's.

There will NEVER be a president that dosent.

Except for of course Eisenhower, who ascended from German roots.

  17.   he actually has  has somAfricananAmericanan in him

  18. African Americans or Black Americans are citizens or residents of the United States who have origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa. In the United States, the term is generally used for Americans with at least partial Sub-Saharan African ancestry. Most African Americans are the descendants of captive Africans who survived the slavery era within the boundaries of the present United States, although some are — or are descended from — voluntary immigrants from Africa, the Caribbean, South America, or elsewhere. African Americans make up the single largest racial minority in the United States.

Barack Obama refers to himself as African American. His father is from Kenya. That's in Africa (in case you didn't know, which I'm doubting) His mother is American. If anybody gets to use the term, it's  Mr. Obama.

Soooo, go buy a dictionary and then buy a book and learn the purpose of punctuation. Don't write.

  19. people are just so naive

    he is not african american

    he is mixed

so thats what you should call him
