Why do people say that once your hips spread when you have a baby that they never go back? I asked my doctor and he said that your pelvic bone is made to let the baby go through it. He said that your hips spread and joints loosen but it goes back to normal. Why do people say that it doesn't? Is it just people that gain weight and don't loose it so they think their hips have spread?

  1. People say that because they don't know what they're talking about. My "friend" even said once that your hips spread after you have s*x, &when I lost my virginity she said she could tell from my hips. People are just dumb sometimes, you should definitely listen to your doctor, not them.

  2. Your pelvis separates and your hips do widen later in pregnancy so that there is room for the baby to go through. Your pelvis will re-attach but it's just a matter of luck I guess if your hips go all the way back to the way they were or not. Some ladies are back in their regular jeans in a few weeks, some might get thin again but be in a bigger size pants than they were before. I guess I'll find out for me after I have this baby!

  3. Its ignorance, people don't know what they are talking about.

  4. With my 1st 9yrs ago my hips never spread and they have not spread with this pregnancy either. I'm thinking the same as you - the weight gain is to blame.

  5. yeah i guess so too....lol...coz even i have seen the narrowest hips of many mothers out there...!!!so relax...

  6. They do go back - but not always to exactly where they were originally.  Just like many other things on or with a women's body after pregnancy.  Some women will never get their original weight back no matter how hard they try.  Each women is different.

  7. My hips spread and didn't go back and i am losing weight, my *** looks huge!!! LOL i kinda like it though!

  8. I had mine go back to normal. it all depends on the pregnancy.

  9. not really sure. but my hips sure did get bigger after i had mine! they havent gone down since even though i way the same as i did before i got pregnant!

  10. My hips definitely were wider after I had my son, even after I lost all the weight.
