i mean honestly saying that u cant live without meat its a weak excuse that only makes u sound like a weak individual. its like saying u cant live without watching t.v, or eating a pizza daily. Dont u think?

meat its not very healthy for you as studied many vegetarians live longer than meat eaters, not to mention, their are plenty of substitutes for meat that are actually healthy for you.

why is it that some meat eaters are in such mentality to say they cant survive with out meat, i wonder what else they cant survive without?

  1. I think that it is the mindset that a lot of Americans have. I've been a vegetarian for years and I still have people tell me that I'm going to shrivel up and die since I'm not eating meat.  The funny this that I'm a good 15-20 pounds overweight and they're still convinced that I'll get malnourished and die.  A lot of people are just misinformed and don't want to change their lifestyle because they enjoy eating meat so therefore they don't seek out information that will make them uncomfortable.

  2. they could live without it, they just prefer not to. it does not make them weak, they just like meat. you can't force someone to not eat meat. let people eat whatever they want. substitutes are not the real deal, period. i really don't see why people make such a big deal out of the whole vegetarian and meat eater thing.

  3. Well, it's not really anyone's business to care that much why they would say that. Anyone can live without meat, the problem is that they don't want to.

We, as the minority, can't argue people into becoming vegetarian. This question is viewable from the main food&drink  page and it is just looks like another veggie rant.

If there is a chance that someone will ever become vegetarian, they have to find that road themselves and this kind of babbling just turns people away.

  4. I could live without it, but I choose not to because I like it and it isn't bad for you!  Why eat a fake substitute??

  5. I could live without it but I have no reason to exclude it from my diet. Food is fuel for the body and I don't give it a lot of thought. I just eat what is available and that is all the thought I give it.It doesn't sound like much of a life If I have to read every label and ask all the time what is in this?  I think it would make for a boring person.

  6. i think people are just saying that to convince you to eat it..

vegetarians actually live longer than people who eat meat.

  7. People say that because humans are omnivores and - contrary to vegan propaganda to the contrary - evolved as efficient hunters. W evolved to eat a diet that was heavy in meat and can even survive and thrive on diet that is almost completely meat (e.g. the Inuit). The natural human diet is heavy in meat and animal fat.

A vegan diet, on the other hand, requires heroic efforts to be balanced and even then usually requires vitamin supplements.

Organic, natural meat is very healthy for you. Factory farmed meat is not as good, but better than no meat at all.

Check out the  first 2 links below and look at the articles regarding nutrition and animal foods.

The last link shows a group of !Kung San hunters in action in the Kalahari. They manage to run down their prey using nothing more than spear, endurance and persistence - a method seen among other African peoples, American Indians and others. It should demonstrate that the veg*n arguments that humans are not built to be predators is a lie. Humans evolved to excel  at a unique form of hunting in the animal kingdom.

  8. l can`t live without meat, quite simply because i don`t want to look pasty and unhealthy like the majority of vegetarians do. Also l love the taste.

  9. I do not know why others say that and I do not say that.  I could live without meat but I will not.  I like it, it is good for me as a part of a reasonable diet and it is legal!!!!!

  10. It's probably an exaggeration, y'know. =/ Lovely everything someone says must be taken literally.

  11. One of my friends probably couldn't, she's huge on meat. When I told her that there are vegetarian chicken, lean meat, etc.. She was just like "Why eat that if you can just eat the real thing?" Some people can just be narrow minded about it.
