  1. Because we live in a society today that is fast paced. Everything we to is NOW, not later. We as a country or World have grown to compete and be better and faster than the next person, and if you dont succeed then we feel like we have failed some where. To slow down means to be at the end of life, not at the begining or in the middle.

  2. I think that sometimes we get lost in the every day hum drum and lose sight of the great gift we have in life.  We need someone to stop us and remind us.  I think that you have done a good job of doing this for me today!

  3. Because for most people its not - we have illnesses, family/work problems - money is tight so causing stress and now we cannot even depend on the weather to make us feel good - love to be able to do the magical adventure though

  4. It is in a organism's primary interest to eliminate circumstances that are not conducive to its survival.  This being my opinion gives an idea as to why we focus on the bad things.  The real question is why we do not focus on the solutions?

    Goof

  5. i haven't

  6. they dont see  the trees beyond the forest

  7. Because "h**l on Earth" is all around us.  The believers in the current generations of power do not grasp the idea that their self-induced genocide is at hand.  They kneel and bow to a self-deserving vain God, they may as well worship themselves in the mirror as I'm sure most of them do.

  8. Good for you!  Yes, despite the ravages of Man and the atrocities we visit on one another the earth (and the universe) remain a source of awe and wonder.  And what an exciting time to be alive!  So many key decisions are being made now that will determine the course of things from now on, and you will be one of the people making them!  Think of how many people over how many thousands of years have lived out their lives with no possibility of affecting anything, not even their own lives.

Myself, I've found an opportunity that's also unique to these times.  So much of our culture is on the edge of being lost, buildings, books, cemeteries, plants and animals.  What price can you put on something that can't be replaced and helped to add value to our lives today?  I have several personal projects in the tiny but historic town where I live.  One thing I enjoy is cataloging the plants that grow in this area.  This has been done before, beginning with Lewis and Clark, but it helps if people recheck every generation or so.  It tracks the invasion of foreign species, and the extinction of native ones, among other things.  I find that no one has cataloged my area in nearly 40 years.  This is information botanists find hugely valuable, but it doesn't take a botanist to collect it.  You deserve a blue ribbon, AND a gold star for your question.  I would say the reason people fail to see the wonder and magic is they are so focused on the ugliness and hate that they become blind to everything else.  It's important to never give up on opening their eyes.  May God Bless You.
