Why do people stay in affair long time without leaving?

because in most cases there is usually one who is married and one who is not, the one who isnt married has insecurities and believes the married one when they say they will leave their spouse, and they will wait and wait and wait for them to do so.

There is something about doing something that is wrong that some people get a high off just like others have to have drugs. Affairs are cheap and the people who do them are cowards. If someone is that attracted to someone else and married, then they are too coward to face their spouse and end it with dignity.

people do for lots of different reasons it depends on the situation.. Not right but people are people who make mistakes ,, sometimes the person doing the cheating loves the spouse but has more "fun" (selfish) with the other person because they don't have to worry about taking care of them financially or emotionally ,, other times they love both of them it really depends...

men will continue to have an affair simply because they can, they are getting away with it, they feel like they keep getting away with it and never be caught.

Women do it because they still haven't had their needs met by their husbands. SO the affair is a way to meet those needs.

The other person doing the affair stays because they believe the person will leave their marriage and be with them, so they hang on until the person leaves the spouse.

Most of the time it is because they are getting something in the affair that they are not able to get anywhere else  or at least think they can't get anywhere else, with anyone else.
