  1. You have to figure in the weight of the persons s*****g. Once that thing starts swinging it can get difficult to control the way your body moves or reacts to that pendulum swinging in your pants.

  2. u mean like big events on TV? well those people are called "rabbits" there there so the runners can keep a good pace to run a certin time

  3. If you don't understand b-rad's answer, he means that they're only there to run the first couple laps. They pretty much set the pace for the rest of the race. Usually for a team mate or something. Hope this answers your question.

  4. bcoz they are paid pace makers...

its a really good way to make money

but you can get into a lot of trouble if u dont achieve the planned standard

although the pace-makers dont have to drop out of the race... they can continue until the finish of they would rather to win the race...although they dont get paid for winning the race

  5. those people are usually pacers. They are meant to pace a runner for the first 3 laps or so of the race and then the runner finishes themselves. They are not good enough to finish, basically, they are racing a shorter race to keep some one else on pace. Usually the fastest person in the race has one b/c it is really hard to lead a race and run a good time. The person that they are pacing is just on their heels and takes over to win, or try and win when the pacer stops.

  6. they are their just to pace the runners.
