I agree with whats said there, but I am just wonderring why people support the Iraq war, I mean I agree Saddam should be overthrown, but I don't think 5.5 year war and 3 trillion dollars and loss of lives is worth it.

  1. Because sheep would follow the shepherd as it were and there you have it. If Saddam was such a threat, why did it take a massive coalition of armies to overthrow one man, wouldn't a sniper have been easier?

  2. Its just that as soon as we leave it will be corrupted again. Unless they have a stable government it would be altogether too easy for it to become corrupted again.

Also, now that we've started this war and invested so much into it, if we just left now then all our efforts would have gone to waste. Also if the government becomes corrupt again they will feel resentment towards the U.S for abandoning them just like in Vietnam.

The U.S has made it's bed by starting this war and now we must lie in it

  3. watch this movie it explains everything about war, religion, and why 9/11 was a setup by the government www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ its free online

  4. Many people don't know enough about it, and blindly support their governments actions. Some think that Iraqi's were responsible for 9/11, or that they were actually a threat.

  5. i want their oil

  6. just be thankful it isn't your men and women killed in friendly fire all the time... i mean come on don't you yank soldiers get taught the difference between an enemy and Allie? you wonder why most Brits dislike you? well watch the video and then you'll see.

i never supported it. i knew that it'd cause more harm than good. yes Saddam may be gone but at what price, the deaths of so many innocent Iraqi families, the slaughter of allies and enemy's. the amount of danger Britons got in because of Blair liking bush's a**hole. BTW I'm from Bradford UK, birthplace of most terrorists so far so yea I'm safe...

  7. Well, I believe that most people don't support it from lack of knowledge or pure uncaring. I mean, we went over there, overthrew their government, and then everyone just wants to get out?... Come on. I support the war, not because I support my government. Far from it! I can't stand our government... I support the war, because I believe that the strong should stand up for the weak... I believe that the able should protect the unable. You have to understand that when you overthrow a government, it will take years to iron everything out. You have to create an entirely new government in it's place. You have to train it's police officers and army. You have to setup support services like Red Cross and humanitarian aid. You have to protect this country until it's strong enough to protect itself. Do I believe that we should've started the war? No... Do I feel an obligation to continue it? Yes! I've always believed that we finish what we start. This war isn't as costly as you might think... Just look at WWI and WWII... Not to mention the civil war... The death rate percentage was much higher. I wouldn't mind dying to protect the weak, whether it be my family and friends, our the weak civilians in Iraq... I'm sure most of the "true" soldiers would say the same...

  8. I do not support the war, but there is a common saying.. if you break it, you bought it.

We didnt plan this war. We went in thinking it would be a cakewalk (simply listen to rumsfeld.. it could take 6 days, 6 weeks, i doubt 6 months). It ended up being much more then anyone could imagine, and the war is still ongoing. We hear that progresses are made, but its so hard to distinguish propaganda from facts. When americans continue to die, i do not consider this progress.

We have ****** iraq up so badly, that we cannot afford to leave now. If we left now, iraq would be a haven for terrorist activities, and they would no doubt focus these efforts on the united states. By staying in iraq, we unfortunately give terrorist targets.

We broke iraq, and we have to stay there to fix it.

  9. I think the Government is hiding a fact we gain more than we lose.Just think how many American die in Iraq and how much oil we import from Iraq.I think that is a good bargain after all oil resource is very limited and we have the control now

  10. who said the people support the iraq war,  no one supports.  Actually all are against the war.  now, see people are suffering because of this war.  so, people are not supporting the war.
