Why do people take some lame username and simply add a number to it?

Have you ever seen some name like rocknrollgod9889948484484848448? Is it so f#@$ing hard to think of something original? Just something that pisses me off for some reason........

Haha!  Yeah, I know what you mean.  I guess they are just unoriginal and they want to reflect that with their username.
