  1. Tell me about it. If anyone recalls 1980, it was Bush that slammed Reagan's plans as "Voodoo Economics" in what was a particularly nasty campaign, yet Bush wound up on the ticket. It's just politics. The Right wing viciously attacked McCain after they had decided Bush was their man in 2000, and now he's the Republican hero.

  2. it is just Republican spin.  Funny how quickly they have forgotten some of the things George H.W. Bush said about Reagan when they ran against each other.

  3. I doubt that many voters take a whole lot of what politicians say, especially during a campaign, particularly seriously. Each politician likes to point out any and all inconsistencies (flip-flops?) made by their opponent - but even this gets old after a while.

Consider, in the last congressional elections, the democrats ran on a troop withdrawal and lower energy prices platform - and we now have a troop increase and $4 a gallon gas.......and our memories aren't that short.

  4. I have no idea.

  5. Because sometimes their comments are true.

  6. Just cannon fodder for their opponent's political goals.

I'm surprised some people don't' get it.

I stopped taking them seriously a long time ago.

  7. If "truth seeker" thinks this is just "Republican spin" then he is sorely mistaken. It happens all the time, in both parties.
