I realize that cell phones are still new in the big scheme of things but why would anyone want to talk on the phone while "doing their business"? (This question was inspired by a pet peeve of @nokapixel)

  1. Some people just can't unstick that cellphone from their ear for even one minute while they pee. Honestly, unless they are constipated, how long does it take?! Give me a break. That is one of my pet peeves too.

  2. I don't know, but it drives me crazy!! My husband made that mistake only one time! I don't want to listen to other people's conversations while I am trying to use the bathroom. I wonder if people realize how many nasty germs they are transferring from the bathroom to their phones. Hello people!! Your phone gets awfully close to your MOUTH! Ew!

  3. its probably a personal call , or very busy

  4. because we are awkward people and have nothing else to do...

  5. I don't know why people do it...guess their lives are just so d**n busy (or so they think) that they have to be on the phone all the time.  That being said, if I hear someone in the other stall talking on the phone, I always flush on purpose so the person they're talking to will know they're in the bathroom.  HA!

  6. Face facts, dear;  idiots walk among us, and they have to pee, soo...

  7. Efficiency. Let's you evacuate waste from all holes at once.

  8. They want their interlocutors to have an insight in every aspect of their fascinating life...

  9. I agree with first poster, however in Westchester County, cell phones are forbbiden from use in restroom due to someone taken picture with their cellphone.

  10. Good question.  But at least they're not likely to kill anyone while sitting on the can.  The thing that really bothers me is people talking and even TEXTING while driving...I read that more fatalities have occurred as a result of this than speeding or drunk driving.  I see it all the time.  We were coming back from a day trip on the interstate on Saturday.  In front of us, a huge truck, 18-wheeler, was all over the road.  I said, oh no, that guy must be drunk.  We need to get around him as quickly as possible.  When my husband passed, I looked over and saw the guy texting.  He was holding the phone up near the window, I guess so he could see better.  That's my pet peeve.

  11. I don't know then women at my job do it all the time, it actually makes me feel embarrassed that some stranger can hear me peeing. I hate hearing other people's convo's when I'm trying to do my business. Plus who in their right mind would want the person they're talking to to hear peeing, toilets the sink, maybe even grunts and groans... people are sick..

  12. Busy life on phones I guess.
