  1. Because they're trying to repack their refrigerator. You're loitering.

  2. Is this a joke?

Thinking inside a box means that you are thinking using only conventional wisdom and not considering that there are theories or methods that are outside of your range of experience.

If using a hammer isn't working, a person thinking inside the box would just keep banging away. But a person thinking out side the box might get a screwdriver or a bobby pin for that matter and be more effective.

Thinking outside the box is roughly equivalent to critical thinking or thorough thinking.

  3. What does a bridge have to do with a box?

What it means is to think about how others feel before you open your mouth and put your foot in it. Pretty much what you should have done right before you asked this question.

  4. It's another piece of in-house jargon which means what you would like it to mean.

  5. According to one R & S atheist, all Christians think inside the box. I think it's called "bigotry" on their part.

  8. Thinking outside the box is a cliche or catchphrase used to refer to looking at a problem from a new perspective without preconceptions, sometimes called a process of lateral thought. It is also called, "Thinking outside the square". The catchphrase has become widely used in business environments, especially by management consultants, and has spawned a number of advertising slogans.

  9. Looking at you, it would be hard to believe you are ever let out of a box.
