But for me, I don't hate those I don't understand, I just don't get it. If I don't get something, that "something" seem weird to me. Then again, I was just being ignorant at the moment.

  4. Often because they are threatened by something new, or they are very conservative and have difficulty adapting to change, and ideas.

  5. because foreign ideas/people/things threaten the status quo. That would mean it threatens society as it is now and since we are a social species of animal, we are naturally angered by something taht changes our social identity.

  7. Misery needs company. When people are miserable they take other people downs to their level. Then they stomp on them to make themselves feel better. It`s a "Dog Eat Dog" world out there.

  8. Fear, a lot of people are afraid of the unknown, or afraid that others will discover their lack of knowledge .I remember in the 1950s, a lot of people were afraid to be around anyone who had cancer, they thought that they would catch it. Parents even forbade their kids from going to the home of someone who had it, thinking that they would be bringing it home. Hope this helps.

  9. The truth is, they actually fear what they don't understand, but the fear manifests its self as hate and or anger.

  10. Because our basic human nature is to be self centered. We want of feel good about ourselves and that means we want people to agree with us and we don't like feeling stupid.

Some people catch on quicker than others. It is call maturity

  11. They are ignorant of the unknown.

  12. They hate things they do not understand because they basically fear the unknown.

They also misconstrue disagreement as hatred.

  13. the unknown feels like a threat to them.

  14. It's a primitive survival mechanism. We should be above that by now, but most of us aren't

  15. Because they are full of fear.  Most people who hate were introduced to it in their childhood.  Fear is the basis of hate, because they fear what they do not understand and they do not understand because they to not usually, think for themselves.   Hate begets hate, I have seen it happen.   People that hate are not happy people, sadly and unless they change their thinking, their lives will never change for the better.
