Why do people that cannot afford them have..?

kids anyway?..I'm not talking about people who lose jobs later..I'm talking about people who KNOW they will have to quit work "when the baby comes" and others like them...is it because they KNOW the taxpayers have deep pockets and will take care of them til the kids 18?....

Because our society has abandoned any belief in the old adage that we somehow will suffer consequences for our actions.

Having children is completely natural. It used to be the case that a man's wage could easily cover the support of his wife and children. It was normal for people to have big families. Nowadays they've made it almost impossible for anybody but the very rich to afford kids - they're treating them like they're some kind of luxury item. This doesn't suddenly turn poor people into criminals. The government knows it has a responsibility to take care of it's future tax payers - or there won't be any. Simple as that really. They claim all the money back when the children grow up and start working. :-)

I know this girl who has two kids and she wants a third .She said its like having a job ,she makes the money and her parents raise the kids .What a waste ! She is only 14 yrs old

It is because we live in a socialist society with BIG government programs that encourage careless sexual behavior.

The people being hurt are hard working middle and upper class Americans who have to foot the tax bill to support these mainly losers.

yeah..its because they know the taxpayers are there for them...no matter what they do,someone will bail them out and feed them.....at least until we get a government with guts to cut out the vote buying entitlement programs

I think it has more to do with failure to plan ahead than knowing they can mooch off of the welfare system.  After all, these aren't the brightest bulbs in the pack.

two reasons, the first is obviously that not all kids are desired, the second is that disney and his pals make it out to seem that if you have kids a crappy life will become a great one.
