Why do people that have emo hair have their hair looking all hair or oily?

is it because they dye their hair or they put baby oil or stuff in their hair? is there a word for hair that looks like that?

Theres a few possible choices.

1. They simply don't wash their hair.

2. They use shine wax for styling and texturizing.

Trust me, shine wax can be a pain.

Too little, it won't style correctly, too much it looks like you've never taken a bath in years. It will also look matted and almost hard if you decide to not wash it out.

It could also be leftover product they had in their hair that they did not wash out fully, thus making it look like a hard texture.

Hair products can make this illusion if used incorrectly or too much.

It also can be straightening serum that wasn't lightly used.

That's about all I can think.

So all in all, they either never wash their hair, or they overdo the products.

cuz they don't wash their hair. my friends know emo people and they told me one of them dont take showers and other ones dont wash their hair

The reason is because they put so much products/chemicals in their hair.

Like hairspray or hair wax, for example.

Hair spray/wax is the most likey cause of oil looking hair because when you tease hair [part of the emo/scene hair look], you have to use a type of product to hold it up and keep it voluminous [like hair spray/wax] .

That's why most girls/guys who tease their hair usually spritz hairspray or use hair wax on the bottom of their hair [the roots] where it's not visible, and not on the top where it is visible.

That's a possibility.

Other possibilities include, their hair having shine [by product or naturally] that looks like oil, not washing hair [which, overtime, looks oily], not washing hair with product in it [looks oily only after one day of not washing], ect.

idk why they would put babi oil. its probably just oily cuz they haven't washed it.

Certain products can cause hair too look like that. Most people wast their hair on a regular basis. Sometimes the shine can look like oil to so you have to figure out what it is.

I think it's because they use too many products in their hair. Like gel, wax..all that. I only use gel to spike my hair up and wash it every day so it doesn't look greasy. Oh not all emos don't take showers :)

OK. . .my cousin told me my hair was emo, I don't think it is but whatever. Mine is shiny, I use product that gives it a shiny look. Its going to be because of product in most cases. But as far as not washing it, I wash mine everyday. . .
