Why do people think EXXOD is useless?

Why do ppl think exxod is useless wen is not cause if u have great spirit and shifting shadows then exxod would be strong it would be like obelisk

They are wrong. I used to have it and my friends say that it is useless. It is good when you special summon it in face up defense position and about to flip summon 4 other cards. Then your opponents can lose 4000 life points (each flip summon 1000). Then I just lost it.

EXXOD sucks its a defense card all i ahve to do - smashing ground or shiled crush and its dead or caius

Reason that Exxod is considered useless is because of his summoning conditions and not many people like to use earth decks all that much due to their best monsters weak defense (excluding Exxod of course) and they are ofter destroyed before being flipped. Another reason for this is because it is a good amount of trouble just to be able to summon a monster with 4000 defense even if you could find a strategy to turn it into a 4000 attack monster for 1 turn it is still rather easly destoryed now if you have cards to protect it then you card pretty much set until you run out of those cards.
