Why do people think Obama plans to take all of our money / paychecks?

Didn't you hear his speech, he said he would cut taxes for 95% of working families .. is this hard to comprehend?

If he taxes those making $250k or more, who do you think will really pay? It will be the employee that the $250k+ business owner employs...duh. The businesses will pass the tax along to the consumer by raising prices and the employees by laying them off or pass it to the general economy by simply moving out of the US where the business environment is more tax -friendly. The end result is higher unemployment and lower GDP. Are you people really that dumb to think that taxes aren't passed down through the economy?

Americans who put this country first should be very concerned about Obama increasing taxes on 5% of the population while pandering to the other 95% who pay far less of the overall tax bite.

Fanning the flames of class warfare is not the sign of a leader but rather a separatist.  Obama is misguided and naive and his policies, if enacted, will be harmful to the best interests of this country.  Those who do not see that fact need to educate themselves and pay attention to the lessons of history.

Ask him to give you dollar amounts. He will begin taxing at $48,600 and incrementally raise taxes from there. That amount is middle class in my opinion and not rich, but according to Obama that is rich.

This page compares the two candidates tax plans.  Over all Obama has a much more fair tax plan than Mccain.  If you make less than 18 thousand dollars under Mccain you are going to get a tax break of a whopping 19 dollars oh thank you so much Mr Mccain!!.  Under the Obama plan you would see a tax break of $567 dollars.  which is better 19 dollars or 567 dollars?  Does Mccain really care about the working poor? or the rich?  The rich would see a tax break under his plan of over 200k  while under Obama the rich would see a tax hike.

he says he will cut income taxes for them.  and raise taxes by about 10% for the wealthy.  So when the wealthy lay off or fire some of their employees and they dont have a job to pay any taxes then what.

He is also going to raise taxes on capital gains and dividends. So your trying to set yourself up for retirement well that is going to take longer because your going to be taxed more the more you invest for retirement.

he is also plans on instituting windfall profits tax and cutting tax breaks for corporations.  Those companies wont just take the loss.  they will raise the price of their products to make up for it which means you will pay more for their goods and services.

He will also have to have some kind of tax raise for his medical plan.

You are only taking a look at a small piece of the big picture if your just talking about the income tax structure.

Because McCain says Obama will raise your taxes.  They don't look into the details.  

It's simple: you make under $200,000 you will pay less taxes with Obama than McCain.  Obama wants to put the tax burden on the very wealthy, McCain wants to put the tax burden on the poor.  Same as all of their other policies.

Simple mathematics says he's lying, it's too bad you bots don't realize it - to fund his programs, besides raising taxes on the middle class, he is going to have to continue deficit spending. He would have to tax the top 1% of earners over 200% of their salaries. And not even the very rich can pay twice of what they own. Raising corporate and capital gains taxes isn't going to help out the "little guy" - it's going to f*** everyone over. They're going to transfer the taxes to you, consumer.

Obama says he'll only raise taxes on salaries over $250,000, accepted.  But that affects a lot of people & small biz. These businesses will raise prices to pay those taxes & everyone will spend more money. Besides, in places like NYC & San Fran, $250,000 is lower middle class, wit h the coset of living there.

And Obama talks about billions for new gov't programs, research & the like. Sorry, the gov't is a black hole that just sucks in money. They cannot do anything well. I know first hand. The only people making money from new programs will be the civil servants & bureaucrats drawing pay checks & benes in tenured employment they cant lose.

And you should know by now, no matter what the party, what a politician says in a speech & what he does in office are two different things.
