Alaska is far out and away from the rest of the states and its population is like 2, there is no diversity and its is not anything like the rest of the US as a whole.

  1. Perhaps she can teach him how to use the internet? :-)

  2. You must be kidding?

Alaska is twice the size of Texas - three times the size if you measure it before and after high tide. You can't go from end of the place to the other in one day.

Nearly 80% of all the seafood for the USA comes from Alaska - along with the metals needed for many alloys. Not to mention nearly all the oil for California and the rest of the west coast. Chances are good the wood in house is from Sitka Spruce harvested in Alaska.

Alaska shares a long ocean border, airspace, and two land bridges with Russia. Has your Governor had to deal with Russian issues, ships and war planes flying over your state? Does your Governor deal with Asian state sponsored poachers?

When the temps hit -10F in Boston it becomes a state wide emergency. What would your Governor do when it hits -80F like it does in Alaska each and every year? Besides freeze.

Alaska shares disputed waters with Canada - lots of political issues for fishing rights. Does your Governor deal with this on a daily basis?

Alaska is the buffer between North Korea and the rest of the crazy asian countries hostile to the contenintial USA. Star Wars is here. Ground Missile Defense is here. So are some of the biggest Air Force and Army bases - Elmendorf AFB, Eielson AFB, Ft Richardson, FT Greely, and FT Wainwright - all with troops rotating into and out of Iraq and Afgahanistan. Not to mention Alaska has the largest US Coast Guard Base. The governor's office is stuck dealing with all the issues of having these big super bases.

Alaska host several yearly military war games with countries from all over the free world - both air warfare and ground warfare - does you Governor have to deal with this?

I did not grow up in Alaska - but - it just amaizes me how much people in the US do not know about their biggest state. If Americans are as ill informed about all the different countries in the world as they are with the state of Alaska - I can understand now why everyone else thinks Americans are idiots.

Considering Alaska has enough low sulphur coal to power the entire USA for 500 years and enough oil to provide 100% of the USA's needs for nearly 200 years - people might want to start learning about the place.

  3. If you think that Barack Hussein Obama's 143 days of US Senate experience trumps 1 and 1/2 years of executive experience Governor Palin has gotten as the Gov of Alaska, then you need your head examined. Obama is an empty suit, yet the brainless of our society thinks he is the second coming... your futile attempt to discredit her experience is so transparent, its shameful. We know you are a Barack supporter and you're not supporting him for any other reason than he's black... how does being black qualify him for the office of President?

  4. For  nearly half of his term Obama has pretty much been an empty seat at the Senate, while Palin actually did her job while she's been in office.

I also find it funny when people go after her because of the population of Alaska, and fail to include the fact that it's nearly the same as Delaware.

  5. I don't. Man or woman, 20 months as govenor and a hard right conservative is a sop to the mentally ill fanatics like Rush Limbach. God help us. The country has really gone offf the deep end.

  6. I am appalled that someone would say she has more experience than Senator Obama. While he may have served only 4 years in the Senate, Barack Obama was in the Illinois Senate from 1996-2004. Palin, at that time, was mayor of a town of 6,000 people.

Senator Obama, also, in addition to his Bachelors (the only degree Palin received), went to HARVARD LAW and was the 1st African American to be President of the Harvard Law Review. After his return to serving his community, he worked a second job as a senior lecturer on Constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School.

Do not even try to compare resumes here. Less than 2 years as governor of a state with just as many people as the city of Memphis Tennessee, and you're trying to tell me that it trumps the additional years he had in the Illinois State Senate?

You should be ashamed to perpetrate such lies.
