Question:

Why do people think Ryan Grant is such a great back?

yeah he did good last year but the only reason he was good is because of Favre. He would pass all the time forcing defenses to only but five or six guys in the box so grant would get huge lanes. Rodgers will get hurt because he always does and Packers don't have c**p for backups. Teams are going to just load the box. Look I'm not looking for an answer who agrees with me, I'm look for an answer that explains their opinion.

  1. because you can have one good year and everyone thinks you're the second coming. he is a good back, and i think he'll have a decent year, and i think they'll be easily the best team in the weak nfc north. and what do you mean rodgers always gets hurt? he's played in what, five games in his career?

  2. I think he is a very good solid back on a very good team. The O line got Grant the yards not Farve. As I recall it was Favre who cost them a Superbowl berth. I think they will be a much better team. They were just one QB short of a SB. Problem solved.

  3. cuz he runs hard and he came from the giants who produce backs who run hard.

see tiki, jacobs, bradshaw, ward, dayne (LMAO) etc

  4. Don't forget about that great o-line bloCKing for him.

  5. It's a correct assumption that a good passing game does help a running back play better but the OL makes a bigger difference than the QB would in the running game, which by the way, a QB has little or nothing to do with running the ball after he hands it off. My proof of this is with the Ravens when they won the Super bowl.  They were a good running team not because of the spectacular abilities of the QB, which in this case was Trent Dilfer, but because of the OL.  Dilfer just simply had to make smart throws every now and then and not turn it over.  Look, in no way am I comparing this Packers OL to the Ravens OL but I'm just saying that if it were as simple as loading the box then the Ravens never would of had that great of a season, not to mention winning the Super Bowl.  It's just not that simple, but if it was, you'd be my first choice for defensive coordinator.

  6. Because 4 RB's before him, in the same season, behind the same O-Line, and with Favre at QB....couldn't do squat. Ryan Grant steps in..and they are an instant top notch running team.

    Why did this happen?

Because he has breakaway speed, outstanding agility, and makes very instinctive first and second cuts.

I would advise you to go back and look at the tapes and watch the man very closely. You apparently missed quite a bit the first time around.

  7. cause he's all they have.... he's just a little better than mediocre at best

but they had to pay him that money cause he's all they got... hence the reason people think he's good... his salary

  8. If someone has a good year everyone gets high on that person.

There will be a lot of people who do not live up to what they did the year before.

  9. Running backs are good because of the offensive line not the QB.  Packers offensive won't change that much just because Favre is gone.  They'll still pass a lot.

Grant led the league in rushing the last 8 weeks of the season.

Rodgers is looking good so far.  If he does stay healthy, Packers will go 11-5 maybe 12-4.

  10. Grant is a good RB, just not great. Frank Gore is better than him.
