Why do people think i'm rich?

People say I'm rich just because of what I have! Like a couple people rely on me and be my friend just because say if we go out, I might bring more money than everyone else or whatever. Like I mean my parents get me stuff when I get good grades, get on honor roll or acheive something, and then occasionally I might get things because I really really want it. And when my friends come to my house, they get the idea that I'm rich just because we remodeled my house and it was a lot of money. My dad is a plumber and my mom is a personal trainer, and we don't live in a "rich area" or whatever. We are just like everyone else. What's your opinion??

My opinion is that you shouldn't keep company that is just after you for what you can provide them. Sometimes some people mistake stability for being rich, or if you are always buying for everyone, they make think that too. People who have less than you may consider you rich even though your not.

Well, if you have more than your friends and can remodel your home, then they assume you're rich. They should come to my town, then they'll see rich. Daddy drives a Cadillac, big houses, private schools, and the best clothes you'll ever see. Hun, they don't know rich.

it sounds like your parents know how to manage their money, which is probably why they think you're rich.

also, you may be in the upper middle class. plumbers can make a tremendous amount of money especially if they're covered by the prevailing wage law.

Either they have big credit card bills, won the lottery, all your friends are poor or simply you have slightly more than them. Do not brag about it, do not play on the fact you may have more than them , people are not as lucky. Your parents both have really good jobs that pay well. you are middleclass, like i. They may be jealous but don't be mean about it. Some are not as fortunate

My opinion...stop taking so much money with you..if ya want to be treated like everyone else, then you need to act like everyone else.  Stop telling people what your parents got for you.  Sound a bit spoiled to me!

I think they think your rich because you have a lot of stuff. Tell them you get those things as a reward. Not for doing nothing. Also tell them you don't have to be rich to get your house remodeledd. Tell them to LIKE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE, NOT WHAT YOU HAVE! I don't think your rich. I just think you get rewards for getting good grades and stuff. The same thing happens to me. They think my family is rich just because we have a big house, and finished basement, and an inground pool. I HATE IT! LOL

Its all relative. Rich to one is not rich to another and there is always someone that has more than you.

Personally I could care less how much money you have, I realized a long time ago money doesn't mean **** in life.

I would not think you are if you thought you were. I moved to a new house and it is worth 500,000 and my friends think I am rich just because of my house and my grandmother was a millionaire but she died two years ago but my father is a millionaire and I have alot of money in the bank and my dad is a jeweller but I usually don't brag this up to alot of people but they call me rich but I just feel like a regular kid.
