if this little show of acknowledgment of mike camrons father is so wrong then why is it ok to chew and spit tabacco all over the field or throw pitches at a players ribs that were just healed from and injury or throw at a players head

  1. Because once your on a baseball field you have to treat it with respect. Whether it's wearing your cap straight or keeping your jersey tucked in, once you're on that field the respect for the game should be kept.

  2. It's not disrespectful at all. I can't think of a single team in major league baseball right now that wears all their uniforms the same either by the way, so it has nothing to do with respect for the game, because nobody in this league respects the game then. Some guys have their hats ****** off to the side, some guys wear baggier pants than others, some wear their socks up to their knees and some don't, some have really long hair, it doesn't matter. If there is a problem with this then the comissioner needs to pass a rule banning it, and until then it is ok to do it. Maybe he will make it where all teams have to be dressed the exact same then too, because that is far more disrespectful to not look like a uniformed team on the field, then the Brewers untucking their jerseys after the game.

  3. Didn't I already answer this?????

    I wouldn't say disrespectful...more like poor taste.

These guys are professionals, they are paid like professionals....it is too much to ask to LOOK like a professional?

I don't undo my tie and collar button before I leave work.... maybe I should wear a Brewers tie and do that.  Maybe I could pull it off?

  4. That is beyond me.  Probably so we don't be as rude to the losing team.

  5. i really dont think its disrespectful..

only because its the end of the game...why cant the players do what they want.

but i do think the other things that you said are totally wrong.

  6. It's not disrespectful, it's just sloppy.  It reminds people of the Red Sox.

  7. yes... they never did it until Slobathia did after his first win there... That's why they do it now.... It's disgusting

  8. Because proper baseball behaviour is to wear your uniform proudly and correctly whenever you are on the field. It is considered a sign of disrespect for the game to do otherwise.

It's why people regard the Brewers as being disrespectful, and it's why Ken Griffey Jr. used to take a lot of heat for wearing his hat backwards during batting practice. It's also why rally caps may be worn in the dugout, but never on the field.
