Why do people think my moms illiterate because of the way my names spelt??

My names leanzy (pronounced lyn-zee) and I hate it when people are like "is her mom illiterate?" Honestly thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard. My mom wanted me to be different and so she spelt my name like that. And sometimes I hear people say "omg when that girl turns 25 shes gonna hate her mother for that." But in reality I love the way my names spelt! Why do people judge off of small things like that!?

Because it looks dumb I mean not a lot of people probably know your mom that well it's just easier to assume. My aunt legally changed her name to Candise and her sons name is Bradly neither are spelled the conventional way but not because she wanted to be different lol.

I believe that when small minded people like that are so quick to judge and make nasty comments, its because they feel so inferior and unhappy with themselves that they try to make other people look stupid, so they can seem superior. Pay no attention to this sort of c**p. If all they have to talk about is the spelling of your name then they are sad little people with sad little lives.

Some people are small minded.  I spelled my daughter's name Mistie instead of Misty, because I wanted her to have a unique and still beautiful name.  Don't let the ignorance of others get you down.  I love the way your mom spelled your name.  :-)  Hope this helps.
