I'm just tired of seeing people constantly slamming black overweight women all the time here at yahoo!answers and acting like we don't deserve to be happy...that's all!

  1. look at queen latifah (love her)

  2. So you are insinuating that White men are superior and better looking than Black men ?

I'd never date a black chick, even if she was thin . Most of my friends and family feel this way too. Sorry.

  3. I dont like pink peckers.

Had to laugh at your question because it reminded me of an old punchline to a joke:  "Some folks should just quit thinking so much."

I am a bold and beautiful black woman "living large."  I hear you and feel you.  What people don't understand is that it's not a matter of what you carry or the package in which you carry it but HOW you carry it and the amount of love and confidence you have in yourself.

Unfortunately, since "Aunt Jemima days" many have considered big, black woman as lessor beings.  Wrong...

(One poster used Queen Latifah as an example.  Perhaps she could have any man she wanted; however, the male of the species is not her preference.  This is common knowledge and she has been public with this information for quite some time:  since she starred in the movie "Set it Off.")

*****I'm 55 and have not made any efforts to date or marry any particular race or ethnicity but all have seemed to be attracted to me.  I don't have a preference regarding the race, ethnicity, nationality or culture of men.  I like men--period and based my dating/relationship/marriage choice(s) on how a man treats me as a person, his integrity and his interaction with others.*****

I know as the asker:  Any woman can have any man she wants.  Having is not the issue...  Keeping a man and keeping him happy and satisfied is what counts.  REAL men want the same thing as women.  You get what you give.

Personal history (with non-black men):  4-year relationship and one child with a white male (teenage sweetheart), 15-year relationship/marriage with a white male (he died), 1-year relationship with a white Frenchman, 6-1/2-year relationship with a white male (a university professor), 3-year relationship with a Dutchman that resulted in marriage--we no longer live together but remain married and in communication (8 years)--I am regarded as a family member by my stepchildren and in-laws.

Again, I've dated men from all walks of life, including two Persians (one student during the late 70's before the hostage situation in Iran and one civil engineer working and living in the US during the early 80's).  Black, white, red, brown, yellow--what have you good men are good men and bad men are bad men (same with women) regardless of shape or size.

Folks who know who they are and what they are, who have no identity and/or self-esteem problems usually can and do meet   up, date and/or marry the folks they like and who like them.
