since this is exactly what hillary tried to do get women into powerful places that were previously only reserved for men. women make up 52% of the vote why can't they have some1 who represents them as a woman. and b4 people talk abt views and stances obama himself said him and hillary are different since shes the old and hes the new so they are not one and the same obama himself discredited this fact. and palin being elected as no2 isn't pandering its listening in my opinion the dems rode over their own presidential nominee who won all the critical states and now must everybody else follow suit and do the same and wait oh right get a qualified man like obama and biden right the 143 day senator and the 35 year washington insider what a combination its like pinky and the brain

  1. Cause the Republicans are not in the reality form.

They think that money will cure all of their whoa's.

They think in terms of us and them.

They think that people are stupid if they are not in their click.

Hockey Moms aren't what America needs. Leadership firm and

    unconditional.

        * She was elected Alaska 's governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage. She has no foreign policy experience.1

        * Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.2

        * She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000. 3

        * Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.4

        * She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.5

        * She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy. She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.6

        * How closely did John McCain vet this choice? He met Sarah Palin once at a meeting. They spoke a second time, last Sunday, when he called her about being vice-president. Then he offered her the position.7

    EDIT:

I re-read your question and I re-read mine. We both are confused about what you are getting at.

  2. Because they aren't.

Is a '69 Volkswagon Beetle the same as a 2008 Jaguar? They are both cars, and that is where the similarity stops.

Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton are both women. And that is where the "similarity" stops.

You should be embarrassed and ashamed at showing the whole world how uninformed you are. Palin stands for EVERYTHING that Hillary is against.

  3. Uh, because she's a hysterical extremist rightwing nutjob who would ban abortion even in cases of rape, wants to teach creationism in schools, wants to drill in ANWR...pretty much against everything that Hillary stands for.

  4. Because Palin is the exact opposite of Hillary on every big issue, Womens right to choice, equal pay for women, Universal healthcare, taxes and the economy, education, the list is endless Obama and Hillary agree on these issues. She is simply not Hillary and Hillary supporters will not just vote for her based on her body parts, McCain insults the female vote when he tries to name a female V.P. just to get the Hillary voters to support him. This is just another case of McCain pandering to try to avoid dealing with the fact that people just don't agree with his policies. if they support him they will set ther causes back 50 years. Plus they know they have to live here if mcCain is elected and would be responsible for the issues he creates if they stay home or support him. I'm a black male but I never supported Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton just to advance black men it is country 1st if you care about America.

  5. Hillary supporters found it easier to get behind McCain than Palin.

  6. Hillary supporters aren't happy with Palin because her beliefs are very different than Hillary's.  But Obama's are too.  Obama wouldn't have had a platform, if he had not taken Hillary's and made changes.  Obama supporters also have the nerve to get indignant that Palin would use Hillary's line about the glass ceiling, but they kicked her to the curb a long ago.  Obama supporters are upset that McCain one upped Obama by choosing a female, when Obama's ego would not allow it.  You are correct that he took the "old Washington politics" male with his 9000 votes won during the primaries over the female with her 18 million votes.  McCain went for "change", and Obama may talk the talk, but he does not walk the walk.   ***

  7. She's anti-abortion, anti-g*y marriage and pro-gun. If you wanted to gain female votes, she wasn't the one to choose.

I wasn't big on Obama but was going to vote for him. Since I've heard of McCain's VP pick, I bought a Obama bumper sticker for my car and will actively campaign for him locally.  We don't need a Talibanish female around our White House.

  8. It's not simply about women being in power places it's about supporting a woman who has values I support.

I do not support Sarah Palin's.  I do support Hillary Clinton's.

  9. Hunting represents women? Why would a deomocrat support a Republican just because of her gender? Politics isn't about boys vs girls like an elementary fight. I'm a Republican but I'd think it would be immature for women to vote for someone based on their v****a.

  10. Palin doesn't represent "women".....just because she is one.

quite the opposite of Hillary on virtually every issue.......and Hillary supporters might have actually voted for McCain before he chose her as VP.

  11. Because women would like a qualified women as president, not just any old moose huntin gun slinger.

  12. She is ant-choice,anti-birth control, believes in abstinence only s*x ed. She thinks creationism should be taught in schools, and has voted against equal pay for women. The answer is because real Hillary supporters know she stand against everything Hillary believes in and has worked for.

  13. B/c the Obamamites are saying that McCain thinks women are stupid which is why he chose Palin; so that all the Hillary supporters would vote for him.

They're just haters who know that Obama has a chance in getting crushed. Ignore them and their lies.

  14. "It may surprise you republicans that the vast majority of women will vote on the issues, and not based on someone's gender.

You guys have a pretty dim view of women in America."

    Exactly.

And, as some people have said, their views are completely different on virtually everything. True Clinton supporters would never vote for someone who is anti-choice even in the cases of rape and incest.

  15. because they aren't.

it may surprise you republicans that the vast majority of women will vote on the issues, and not based on someone's gender.

You guys have a pretty dim view of women in America.

  16. The things that Hillary and Palin have in common are..................... They are both women.  Besides that, they don't have one common bond.  I am a Hillary supporter, and there isn't one thing about Palin that I like.  By the way Palin.  Way to raise a child.  Lots of good Christian values in that household.

  17. Um, maybe it's because Hillary's and Sarah's policies are DIAMETRICALLY OPPOSED to one another? Just a thought.

  18. We love Palin!!!

  19. I think it is simply because it put right back in thier face what their own party did to them..they tossed the most viable VP candidate under the bus! reality hurts sometimes. Its much easier to take out frustration on someone else than admit that you were gullible enough to allow the DNC to s***w you over.

  20. Their maybe a few that like Sarah, but most will vote for their political views. However judging by the hate that the media has been doing it make you wonder. Maybe their hate will cloud their judgment and they will jump ship.

Or maybe they are disgusted that the media is attacking a 4 month old and a teenage mom to be.

One thing for sure is you never talk down to a woman about their ability to be a mom. Think of how scared most woman are when they have their child, but look how well they are great with the baby instantly. This goes down to the most primal instinct.

  21. Palin is not interested in women's rights.  She is the anti-Hillary.

People are underestimating women if they think the Hillary supporters will vote for Palin just because she has a v****a (supposedly).

  22. They are expressing their hope not facing reality.

  23. Because it isn't ONLY about gender - one would be hard-pressed to find two women more opposite of each other on the political spectrum.

  24. Because as a Hillary supporter, I'm not. Palin is a complete 180 from Hillary politically. I was not a Hillary fan because she was a woman, but because I agreed with her politics and thought she had the experience and determination to lead the country.

  25. Because Palin is the polar opposite of Hilalry. Women are not stupid they don't vote for someone simply because they have a v****a, they actually care about he issues. You, and McCain don't give them enough credit

  26. probably a lot of her supporters are moved to vote for mc cain because they are closer to the center than left leaning obama and would nt be moved by a good conservative like palin

  27. Why do you think Hillary supporters would dump her and her political views to follow some other woman?  Most Hillary supporters aren't lecherous men.

  28. Too Answer this Question is only time will tell:

Because most of Hilary's women voters where on the Dem's side; But Palin does give Obama's team a  big Question on how the women will respond, because Palin does come across for now as a normal American Family woman, problems and all.

It's going to come down to how the Independent voters "WOMAN" react and what that Feeling is, so this Years Election is really going to be decided by the independent Woman Vote, PERIOD.

    Unless a Real WAR breaks-out.

  29. Hillary supporters agreed with Democrat political stance on many issues including s*x education for teenagers, national healthcare and tax breaks for the middle class. Sarah Palin is a conservative christian of the republican party.  The only thing they have in common is that they are both women.
