Why do people think that spiderman 3 was a bad movie?

It depends on how they looked at it. Maybe they did not like the part when spiderman turns a black spiderman. Or when the web that made him black to the other Villon black and he looked ugly too when that happened.

hm , idk .. i liked it but i didnt like the ENDING , cos maryj + peter still end up breaking up even if it was that guys fault .

It was TOO LONG!!!  (The Dark Knight was long too but atleast it was good)  The villians weren't all that scary or interesting & that scene with MJ & Harry in the kitchen doing the twist (of all things) made me want to puke.  

It was rubbish utter rubbish but 2007 was a rubbish year for movies.  This Year was way way better for Super Hero movies!

I think people were turned away by the Emo look Parker took for about 20 min of the film but their idiots to let that ruin the movie for them.

the villans were great. the story line was great and at the time it was supposed to be the final movie. so killing off Goblin wasnt a bad thing. (again people being stupid by not liking it)

It was a way to tie up loose ends in the story.

Harry blames Spiderman-Peter Parker for his father's death and now he must deal with it once and for all.

As he said to the nurse. "Their my best friends, id die for them"

he did just that, he died to let his friends live.

I guess its because the first two were really good..and in comparison it had less action and a weaker story line

it was a cool movie, but the twist and the plot was totally different. the sandman was kinda boring, the love and affection between harry and MJ was bad, the rivalry between best friends peter and harry was sad, harry killed in the end was very bad. still it was a good movie. but the things between MJ and Peter did not work too well either, they should have been shown together, peter shown as a bad and powerful black one was kinda not so appealing but still great in its own way. the reporter caught the same bad thing and died. oh my gosh! the end was so sad. i felt bad when harry died. but still he died saving his friend. at least he understood that peter was a true friend and did not wantonly kill his father. but cutting the relationship between MJ and peter, peter and harry was kinda sad too. but i still enjoyed the movie a lot. it was cool in its own way.

because it was the same story as the first 2. Spider gets in trouble. He brakes up with mary jane. he saves her. they end up happy. the end. same thing

Because the best--and one of the only good things about that movie--was Topher Grace as Venom.  And that is something I had NOT expected to say when I went into the theaters.  But he was brilliant, and Maguire was not.

And what the h**l was up with that dance?  What was the -point- of that?  I'm guessing that Raimi realized the movie was going so badly bad this point that he just threw in the scene to have fun, knowing that no matter what he did to Spiderman, it would never be as bad as Shumacher's Batman and Robin.

I kept up though, so I found it a great film.

I do not particularly like this movie.  I do not think it was horrible, but I do not think it was well done.

1. While it is an interesting concept to have likable villains that we can relate to, it is not a very suitable plot to have in a hero movie.  We are presented with a superhero, while they are allowed time to falter, we should not be rooting for the villains.  

2. Following through with the revelations and character development of Henry through the first two movies it made sense to introduce him as a baddie in this third one.  However, having three villains to follow around each with their own separate story is a bit much for one movie, especially because they didn't give them the proper time to fully develop their plots before they start wrecking havoc.  

3. After the first two films, expectations were high, because we were given great performances.  In this film, while the acting was decent, the filming was not.  Whoever choreographed this movie, did a poor job.  The fight scenes were not original, conducive to viewing, or well lit.  Fight scenes are supposed to be an action pumped adrenaline rush, but having the fight in the dark, with weak moves did nothing for me.

Hopefully this gives you a little insight as to why a people disapproved of this movie.  My reasons were all of the above, but many people I know found at least one of these to damage their view of this movie.
