Question:

Why do people think that using public transportation helps save the environment?

I live in a major city (Chicago), and almost every time I pass a bus it is almost empty! How is that thick black smoke from the back of the bus good for the environment? How is that better than my car?

When you answer my question, please don't give me c**p about how most buses are full. During rush hour, many buses are. The rest of the time they have a hand full of passengers at most. Take a look people. They are empty!

My point here is this. If you ride the bus because it saves you money, fine. If you ride the bus because it is less stressful than driving, great. Just don't say you ride the bus for the environment because that is a joke. Thanks, and stop being blinded by this global warming farce! It simply isn't true.

  1. If you think riding the bus is less stressful than driving, you obviously haven't ridden one lately.   Parking is much easier, but having a meth addict pestering you for half an hour isn't fun.

  2. Because people don't use them. Hence the government trying to get the point across of using them so that they aren't full.

  3. If the bus is going to run whether I am on it or not, then obviously my being on it means that MY car will not be belching exhaust that day. Your beef is not with the people who ride the bus, but with the people who put the bus on the road to begin with.

  4. Hello Sir/Madam.  You got an interesting point there when in Chicago.  In Singapore, such bus with thick black smoke, is not allowed on the road according to the authority.

As to your question, my answer is:

The system, an  efficient machinery coming forth from the governance, of the environment,  can self regulate the number of vehicles on the roads, thus attempts to save the earth environment from pollution, green house effects, and blah blah blah.

  5. Your reasoning doesn't really make sense.  If people did use public transportation, the buses wouldn't be empty.  What you're saying is that *because* people don't use public transportation, it doesn't save the environment.  This is true.

On top of that, the buses are going to run no matter what.  If a person takes the bus, that's one less car on the road, so it does help preserve the environment.

Also, many buses now run on compressed natural gas, which is much more environmentally friendly than diesel.

  6. Because they have been brainwashed with leftist b.s.

The libs try to convince us that if the buslines are failing it is our fault, after all they put the buses in service to save our planet using our tax money and the least we can do is give up our freedom of movement to help them save the dear mother.

It usually comes down to convincing us to give up our way of life and to live in the manner dictated to us by the enlightened elite to truly be good world citizens. Just shut up and do what they say because they know what is best for us all.

Only fat lying hippocrites like A.G. have the right to travel in the manner that he sees fit so he can save the world can't you see?

  7. It's the same way here in Flint, Michigan, empty busses running around.

My son had to quit school because of the lack of service form the MTA.  One day he waited almost 2 hours for a no show buss.
