I mean Manny was acting Selfish...he didn't play with any Heart and was acting like he was better than the team and thought he could skip a game when ever he wanted too...This is one of the smartest things the Red Sox have done....I mean in the end they got an above average starter Jason Bay

  1. yeah just think how terry francona felt with manny around, i felt sorry for him and the sox for having to put up with that loser.

  2. People think that the Red Sox were stupid on trading Manny because he has been with us for a long long time. He has helped us a lot... people started loving him... then he just got rude and he was pretty much voted out of his team. But  it's like David Ortiz getting mad at the Red Sox getting rude and everything. If they traded Ortiz beacause he was mad. Wouldn't you get really mad at the Red Sox for trading Big Papi? The person that has helped us with a LOT of things?

  3. cuz when he really plays he can be one of the best hitters 2 ply baseball

  4. yeah but he has acted like a fool for a few years now and yes his perduction has decreased. but the one thing that he does better than most is hit in the playoffs. when the playoffs roll around and bay hits .192 while LA makes it and manny hits .289 with two hommers and 6 RBI's in the first series boston will go thats why we kept him. with either player they will make the playoffs but they will miss manny ans so will red sox fans.

  5. Yay someone with some common sense.

I hate to see Hansen go but those stupid ESPN experts are drinking way too much Kool Aid. Everyone is still thinking him as a .315 45 homer bat. That's not true. Bay carries just as big a bat, but more speed, defense and no baggage. I mean what if Manny had a "hamstring injury" and decided to not play the last 40 games of the season? Would you trade Hanse and Moss for Bay? OF COURSE. This was a smart deal. Only problem is losing Hansen but Sox going for the now so I love it.

  6. I totally agree with you.

I think that he's more of a distraction to the team then anything.

Manny's 36, Not playing nearly as good as he used to, or he could be.

I'd rather have Jason Bay on my team then Manny.

Jason Bay's a better feilder anyway.

  7. Manny is proven in the playoffs, he had problems with Red Sox management so that won't affect his attitude in LA. Manny has 20 HR so far this year which was his season total of last year. Doesnt look to me that he is on the decline.
