Why do people think this country being "divided" is such a new concept?

I cannot stand this c**p you hear from the left about needing someone to unite the country. Its a load of bull.

This country's Founding Fathers argued among themselves for 11 years trying to settle on the Constitution.

I think that little thing we call a Civil War was a little divisive.

Ever notice that when the left wants us to unite, its to their side we have to unite too? The right is expected to compromise on everything.

Left wants no drilling for oil? The Right has to cave in or its dividing the nations.

THe left wants to scam more money out of your pockets to run a socialized health care program. The Right is dividing the nation by not letting them riun you health care access like government has screwed up S.S.

This country is divided. Divided into people that think the government should have more of your money and people that think the government should have less of it.

There is your divide. Pick a side..

There are over 300,000,000 people in the US alone.  How many in the world I have no idea...but how can you be UNITED with that many people.   Even marriages that are TWO people aren't united all the time!

Divides are normal otherwise there would be no point to the election everyone would vote the exact same way. The media's a bunch of morons that like to trudge up things that aren't imporant becuase they need something to talk about 22 hours out of the day CNN is dumb, no one needs 24 hours of news.

Of course it's divided, always has been, always will be. After the civil war I guess people just put on a face and act like we all think and believe the same. But the truth is were divided. There's still the north vs south in some places, there's still the KKK (not saying I agree, cause I don't) I just know it still does exist. There's all kinds of different divides in this country, no one just isn't smart enough to see that. And the only reason they think it now is because of Barrack Obama running for President and the war on Iraq. Of course in my opinion Barrack Obama is another Hitler, and were all headed straight for h**l. But can't say I didn't warn people, there just too dumb to listen.
