  1. i think it is really the goverment issue hth ey should be at least f****** helping it makes me so angry i have even but stuff in the inter net and the nes pappers!!!

  2. Our civilization is not...repeat, NOT...causing global warming. We are aggravating the effects of global warming, and we are causing it to happen more quickly, but we are not causing it. No matter what we do, global warming is going to occur. It's a *natural* cycle that Earth has experienced countless times in the past, long before the first ancestral human decided to walk upright. Not just a theory either; there are tons of scientific evidence that global warming / cooling is a natural phenomenon.

  3. Humans can't stop global warming because WE DID NOT CAUSE IT.

    Its a 1500+- year cycle.

    Romans grew grapes in Britain.

Greenland was actually GREEN when the vikings got there because it was WARMER BACK THEN.

Pick up a science and statistics book.

  4. It will take 100 years to heal if we do nothing.  However, I believe solutions can be found and implemented quickly.

Meanwhile we must adapt, and protect ourselves.  One of the most important things to do will be to increase our resevoir capacities.  Water is essential, and having bigger resevoirs can give us more flexibility to deal with floods and droughts.

Meanwhile, water moderates heat.  A house near a deep lake will never be as hot as a house in the desert.  Increasing the number of resevoirs and the size they can hold will be a massive up-front investment, but will ultimately reduce our future energy needs.

  5. I don't know if anyone believes we can "stop" global warming but what we can do is not provide conditions to help speed up the process.  Global warming or not, we need to take a serious ethical look about how we take care of this planet.  It is not disposable and we need to treat it as such and take a conscious effort to understand how are actions are affecting the planet.  It's only in everyone's best interest to do so.
