  1. because teachers does not DO them for you, they only HELP you with what you don't understand.

  2. A few reason I can think of:

    1) Some students are uncomfortable asking for help from their teachers, so they go to someone they feel more comfortable with.

    2) Some teachers are not very god at teaching. They don't engage their audiance, and don't explain questions very well

    3) People learn differently. I learn by making mistakes on purpose to see what doesn't work. Other people learn by listening, reading, or watching other people and seeing examples. If a teacher only uses one method to teach, then many student's will not have even had a chance to learn.

  4. yes but when its a work sheet that has to be in for the next day and you have exams and coursework ( more important than maths homework ) u try and find the quickest way out of unnecessary stuff :)

  5. i agree with you, they should go to their teachers and ask them, it is what they are there for

sure, they should not do the problems for the student, but they should help the student understand what to do for that type of problem

  6. their*

Math is hard though. I've failed it like 3 times (different courses- not the same one over and over). Haha

  7. Why can't people see the difference between 'there', 'their', and 'they're'?  Didn't you have to take English?

But yes, there are a lot of people who don't seem to realize that having people do their homework for them means they're going to fail the exam.  But they'll figure it out eventually.  Probably too late.

  8. The same reason some folks can't spell or maybe they just don't know the difference between there, their and they're.

Not an insult, just an attempt to educate.

  9. you should get a teacher to do your ENGLISH................it's THEIR math?

  10. Because they don't want to try. Everyone's answers that i have read make a basic assumption. The teacher knows how to teach. Sorry, that's a bad assumption.

If a student has trouble, this is my way of taking it on:

    1. Ask the teacher. you have to start there. Sometimes the teacher either is too busy or is too absorbed to help. most teacher want you to see them after school. That's not always an option. They say before school but that option is not always available for either student or teacher.

    2. get a tutor. Some school districts have 'cadet teachers' that are nothing more than high school students who want to be teachers. sometimes they can break something down and make it more understandable

The one thing that isn't addressed is the textbook itself. If they give either poor or not enough examples, i promise you, the students will be lost and if the teacher can't "teach it", then it is a lost cause

    3. talk to another teacher. If there is another teacher teaching the same class, talk to them. Sometimes another perspective can make all the difference in the world

  11. well if theyre asking for help, it's aiight.
