Why not just accept what happen and not try to make the loser/winner look good or bad. Why not just tell the truth about what happen

  1. If you get the 'dark side' right away, you'll get turned off, and  that will discourage you from studying a topic further...However, if you are taught a 'whitewashed' version, you will be eager to learn more, and be open to later learning about the 'dark side.'

  3. Usually for political expediency . Dangerous when done by nations  in their schools'  history books .

  4. The truth usually lies in between the winner and the loser, i agree both sides try to make their case about something historical but both leave out details to better make their case.  It usually takes time to find out the real truth about something.

  5. Do you have a specific example? History has always been written by the winner, look at the 1066 invasion of England, I'm sure the Saxons had a much different version and the Indians in the US can't be happy of the version of their lives.

  6. There are always two sides to every story. How do you know that what you've been told is the truth, and these other people aren't crazy?

  7. You can do what you want if you want what you can do.
