  1. It is recommended that an adult can only drive because to reduce traffic, Strategy, Accident. If all can drive there will be too much of pollution from vehicles. Too much of accident. Because, the driver should have a certain height to see the road.

  2. Lack of on-road experience makes them (actually people under 25) more likely to be involved in a collision. Additionally, teens (under 18) are more likely to be distracted by other things i.e. phone, friends, radio.

  3. Look at the situation of an 18 y.o. . Just finishing 12 years of school; depending on the folks to get to and from wherever, having to be home when the folks say; do this, don't go there - because I said so, that's why; I'm your mother . I can't do anything I want or when I want.

Now I have my learner's permit and I still have to do what my parents say . I can't get away.

Finally, my full license . I can go where I want, when I want, as fast as I want . Nobody can tell me what to do anymore . I'm free . Let's party!!

Time: 4:36am . Place: the folks' house . After ringing the doorbell for a while, a bleary face opens the door to 2 police officers . "Are you a parent of Sandy Smith? . We regret to inform you that your daughter has been involved in a traffic collision . May we come in?"

    This is why.

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among 15- to 20-year olds.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, 3,490 drivers in this age group died in motor vehicle crashes in 2006 and an additional 272,000 were injured.

Drivers age 15- to 20-years old accounted for 12.9 percent of all the drivers involved in fatal crashes and 16 percent of all the drivers involved in police-reported crashes.

Twenty-five percent of teen drivers killed were intoxicated. In 2006 (latest data available) crashes involving 15 to 17 year olds cost more than $34 billion nationwide, in medical costs, property damage and other costs, according to an AAA analysis.

Among licensed drivers, young people between the ages of 15 and 20 have the highest rate of fatal crashes relative to other age groups, including the elderly. In fact, the risk of being involved in a fatal crash for teens is three times greater than for drivers age 65 to 69.

Immaturity and lack of driving experience are the two main factors leading to the high crash rate among teens.

  5. there are a lot more cars now than in the past, and everyone is in such a big hurry. I really see no compelling reason for anyone under 18 to have a license since they are still at home;

  6. We always limited our teens to only 1 Other passenger for the 1st year of driving to cut down on distractions in the vehicle.

Young drivers I see every day, not wearing seat belts and hanging out of cars, drinking, smoking, texting, on the phone etc while driving, the irresponsibility is astonishing, we just had 2 people killed 19-23 years old, who rolled a pick up truck and died.

They were drinking and one was thrown from it (no belt on)

    He was the lucky one.

    Very horrible....

and these were older kids. but we see it all the time with younger ones too, they think the are invincible. It won't happen to them.

Most of them have never had drivers ed.

  7. People do not under the age of 18 driver a car because a he is not know a rules for a vehicle. He had not a licenes of government. He is not understand to rules.

  8. As they have no such good xperiences....& do not know rules of road..& nowadays road accidents r taking place much so...
