Why do people underestimate Green Bay?

They're still going to win at least 11 games. The only major loss was Brett Favre. And yes, I know Favre is a legend and Rodgers has huge shoes to fill. But, all Rodgers has to do is manage the game. He doesn't have to win the game himself because the Packers have a good defense and running back.

  1. Again, I have to agree with answer 1. But at the same time the Vikings are going to win that division. They're defense is relentless. Barring any injuries you should be in good shape, and I can see 11 games, but that's at the most, not at the least.

  2. It's the Green Bay Packers, not the Green Bay Favre's! They will be fine this season... It's all about team work and the support of loyal fans. People should remember that.

    Go Buccaneer's!

  3. Hey, I'm a Broncos fan but I also bet on the games, out here in Las Vegas. I think Green Bay will do well this year. Rodgers learned under Brett so he picked up a lot of his tendencies and habits. Green Bay will win their division.

  4. I live in West Bend Wisconsin and ive seen just about every Green Bay game in my 21 years of being alive and to me theres no way A Rod comes close to what Favre's done. I think Favre is too hit or miss but he's one of the best leaders ever and thats where Green Bays gona struggle. Im a Vikings fan even after death and if the Packers win the division its gona have to take a monster year from Grant the defense is gona have to be top 5 and the special teams has gota be great all year long. Everyone also forgets Rodgers coach at Cal had 5 other QB's who turned out to be busts. I cant remember who they all were except Akili Smith with the Bengals.

  5. Favre left and was a legend. You've got Aaron Rodgers, who (before this preseason) last started a game in 2004 - when he was in college with Cal. He's basically a rookie because he's been under Favre for a few years. No one knows what this guy can do. I'd say 7 wins at best for the Pack.

  6. Simply put they suck

Aaron Rodgers will take years to develope

How many years ago should Al Harris have retired? lol

The hole team is this way.... I predict bears own them two times... :]

  7. It seems when a great QB leaves a team, they seem to go down hill.  Examples, Bills, Broncos, Dolphins, Cowboys.  I am really hope that Rodgers will have a good year.  I felt bad for Rodgers most of the summer with the BF controversy.  I also hope that GB wins their division.

  8. I never underestimated them. I said all along they will win 11 games. Just look at the other quarterbacks in the NFC North. I personally think Rodgers is the best one.

  9. they suck

  10. Losing a legend always shakes people. But I think that they'll win the division. If not they'll compete for the 2nd wildcard. I think the Giants and Boys are in. Plus the Div winners from the South and West. I think 10 wins.

  11. Because the kissbutts on ESPN practically declared Brett Favre as the only reason the Packers won their division last year,so now everyone thinks the Packers are no good because Brett is gone, when in reality it was the defense that made it possible for Brett Favre to win that many games

  12. The Packers are still the same team. I am a die hard Packer fan. I know Brett helped us out tremendously but it wasn't all him. It takes more then one to make a team. They were games last season where Brett played so bad, it looked like we were going to lose but our defense stopped the opposing team from scoring and got us the win.

and people should stop looking at Rodgers like he just entered the league and saying he doesn't know how to play. For crying out loud, he sat behind a legend QB for 3 years in which in that span gave him a lot of time to go over the playbook and attend McCarthy's QB school. He wasn't a rookie where nowadays are being started right away with little time to look over the playbook. Brett left behind some great weapons for Rodgers in Driver, Jennings, Jones, Lee etc.

Yeah some teams sucked if a legend QB retired but the 49ers didn't once Montana was traded and look at Tony Romo. Romo sat on the bench for the first 3 years on his career and now look at him and he wasn't even drafted.
