Why do people upload to limewire?

Question

Loads of people use limewire to download music etc, but who actually puts it on there in the first place? Downloading from limewire makes sense you get something for free but I can't see any reason to upload, you have to infringe copyright law and you don't even get anything out of it.

Yup your more likely to get caught uploading which is pretty dam stupid.

Anyways those people make many others happy.

What?? How can you download anything if nobody uploads any files??

You would be surprised.  

Actually many people upload the files in Limewire without knowing it.  If you have random files in you saved folder then everytime you run limewire every else using limewire will see the file in your limewire sved files folder.  So actually anytime you run limewire you allowing people to download files from your computer.

It is in the limewire settings if you want to upload or not. There is never actually a song ALWAYS in limewire. It is just several people uploading it at one time, several people that have their computers on with limewire running.
