Not all Democrats are liberals, and not all liberals are Democrats.

Republicans are not always conservatives, McCain himself has been repeatedly identified as a liberal until he had to switch up his wording to attract his base.

No need to attack anyone here, and I'm not attacking McCain. This is an honest question about the use of these words. Please leave rhetoric and attacks on people elsewhere.

  1. Why ??? The Liberals have hijacked the Democrat party...and are now threatening America`s way of life. JFK would now be considered a modern day conservative by today`s leftist libbies..

  2. I agree - shouldn't be interchangeable.

  3. you are right, they are different. although I do have to admit, I have heard many that are republicans who are not conservative, but I've heard from no one who is a dem is is not liberal.  perhaps you are in the category, but i cannot tell from the question.

in any event, as i said above, i agree with you.

  4. Obama the most liberal voting record in Congress is running for President.

Lieberman was run out of the D.N.C. because he opposed the Democrats on 1 issue.

There maybe conservative Democrats but I have yet to meet one here.

  5. Because there is no such thing as a conservative Democrat anymore. All though you're right there are some liberal Republicans.

  6. You blamed McCain for Clinton's trade deal. What gives? "shipping jobs overseas"???? That's as partisan as it gets.
