  1. 1)Because they can.

    2)Because it's their right.

3)Because if they didn't, only the people who thought they knew something would be the winners.

  2. A better question would be "why do people run for office when they don't know anything?

  3. Why would you even ask that question? Exactly what is it that you know that the rest of us don't? I mean you must be in on something we don't have the privilege to know. I keep myself informed, even tho it is not easy as the media is owned so we are not being informed on much that the republicans don't want us to know. They have totally ignored one of their own who could save the day for them because he is for the people and the constitution. He will be the best thing for this country in 100 years. He is against big government, against foreign involvement all over the world, he will drastically cut taxes, and eliminate the federal reserves hold on our finances. He will not kill our children overseas and we are not using the rigged electronic voting machines. Paper ballot is the only Way to represent our citizens true vote. So no matter what they think they have planned we the people will be heard and Ron Paul will be our next president. We feel strongly about this, were you as informed as you thought you were? Now start listening, watch and act like a free thinking American citizen. NO one ever won by giving up rights for safety, in most cases they lost both.

  4. Because this is the law of the land and anyone over 18 who is not a convicted felon who is a legal citizen may register and vote. Sosueme, you go girl!

The rest of you self righteous prigs who appointed you the arbiters of who should and should not be savvy enough to exercise their political opinions? PLEASE move to somewhere your views will be appreciated such as Iraq or Iran. Try voicing your precious opinions there.

  5. i'm so glad you asked this because i've ben dying to tell this story....

while listeing to the radio the other day the commentators were asking you to call in and tell them who you were voting for and why if you wanted to... well this one guy called in and  stated that he was voting for hilary. at that the commentators asked him why he was voting for the female candidates.... and he replied well i'm a very devout christian and my life with Jesus Christ is straight and to be just perfectly honest i'm ready for armaghedon(sp?) and so he thought that if hilary won the election the world would end....

then another guy(obviously from tuscaloosa, alabama sight of alabama university) called in and said that he was voting for obama and when asked he replied because you can put a g in front of his name and it would say GO BAMA!!!!

what is this world coming to? why are these people not concerned with the united states' future? only to end the world and play football? dont you think this is a little out of hand?

  6. Because they have the right to vote, as American citizens.

They can get drivers' licenses too, but for that they have to demonstrate that they can operate a vehicle competently,  understand the laws and ordinances involved, and understand the meaning of the road signs..

Isn't it paradoxical that they DON'T have to show some level of competence to vote for elect the nations' leaders?  They don't have to know anything about the issues, or even how to read.

  7. I don't understand it either. whats worse than that is some people run for office and don't know much either. come to think of it that's who they are voting for.

  8. I don't think many do.

  9. They are all as sheep going to the slaughter not knowing what lies ahead of them.  They blindly follow the leader into oblivion not questioning anything.  As the saying goes, "What is right isn't always popular and what is popular isn't always right".  Our founding fathers would roll in their graves if they knew how far we have fallen from their dream of what America was supposed to be.

  10. As long as a candidate tells them what they want to hear they believe it. I believe in most politics deception is part of the game, so you must research the politicians and go with your own instincts. Let them know you can't be fooled with talk and promises without ideas to back them. Don't forget, they work for us.

  11. It makes them feel adult.

I've talked to 18 and 19 years old that support Obama because he's "cool" and/or handsome.

In our democracy every village idiot and 18 year old child can vote.

  12. And those who "think" in order to find a reason to vote against this candidate.  I like candidate x.  but if candidate y gets the nomination I will vote for Candidate z because I don't like candidate y's stand on this issue.

And this is "informed"  even if, when compared to preferred candidate x's position, candidate z's position is much worse than candidate y's?

People don't make informed decisions.  They make emotional decisions and find ways to "rationalize" their decisions.  Study the data.  there's whole books written on this stuff.

  13. It's one of the basic rights of every citizen - regardless of race, creed, religion, or intelligence.  The same ones can run for office - and oft are elected.

  14. It's simple it's their god given right, and more people should care enough about their freedom to do it.

  15. Thank you for asking. now I hope some democrats can answer this one without sounding as naive as their reps.
